The Good News

When the Lions select Okung with the 2nd pick there won't be any Lions fans at the draft to boo...

Like the Eagles fans did when they drafted McNabb or like the Jets fans did when they drafted Dustin Keller..

Both which turned out to be good picks.

If Schwarts and company think Okung is the pick. He's the pick. We don't know our asses from holes in the ground really. If we did, we would be in the NFL.

Like he did last year, I would love the Lions to sign him. He is small, but versitle. Fast, great in open space, decent hands that are developing since the Jets made him a WR.

I don't want the Lions to trade for him or anything, but he is another Aaron Brown type, but probably faster, that could do a lot of little things for us.

I don't know what I expect for responses, but just thought I would throw it out there.

Anyone who wants Okung/Berry/Spiller/Mccoy think about this.....

63 times in four years Suh has tackled the ball carrier behind the line of scrimage.

63 times he has stoped a play before it got started.

63 times he has made a play that confounded the offensive line and offensive coordinator

63 times...

I will be happy with McCoy, Berry or Okung if the Rams take Suh...but if he is there, and the Lions don't draft him, I will be very disappointed

Browns release QB Derek Anderson

Anderson would be an excellent back up if the price was right. He has a big arm like stafford and because it is looking like we are putting together a vertical style passing game (not the west coast stuff that Holmgren wants and Anderson stinks in)....I would love it if we gave him a look.

3 Years 12-15 million 5-7 Million guaranteed?

Sound about right?

Justin Fargas

I think that he would be affordable and he has shown he can carry the ball with consistency. Plus, anyone who watches any football other than the Lions knows that he has home run capability.

I would love to see this be our next FA signing.

This seems like if could do a lot for all the teams. I know you KC fans are not going to be keen on losing Charles, but you take Spiller in the 1st and your offense gets pretty nasty with Marshall, Bowe, Spiller and Buckhalter

Lions Big Board

I saw a guy do this on the Kansas City Board and thought it sparked some good talk..

So, here we go, the Lions "Big Board" in my opinion. Obviously some of the guys will be reaches at certain spots, and some will not be availible where they are listed...but its just that...a BIG BOARD....you get the idea.

I based the order on my personal opinion of talent and then a very very loose need base.....For example McClain awesome even though we wouldnt take him. I didn't list QBs or TE's because I think we have 2 pro bowlers personally and I don't care how good the value is, I don't want to take them.

McCluster is still better in the open field than Best

Brandon LaFell is still better than Taylor Price

Remember this Cedric Peerman not only ran the BEST 40 for a RB last year, but also put up the MOST reps on the bench....

Don't read too much into Ben Tates and Bruce Campbells 40 times...Toby Gerhart and Anthony Davis are still better...

I say that because I think we can get him late and we need a banger. I still think Kevin is a good starter but this guy could be a good finisher and goal line monster. I believe him when he shows remorse and I believe him even more when he gets the ball on 3rd and goal from the 4.

If we can get him is there in the 4th round, in my opinion he will be the BPA and we should snag him.
