Blogging The Boys The NFL in Los Angeles: A Proposal

Professional American Football is one of the few bright spots in the current bleak economic landscape.  When the spectre of cancelled games loomed over last offseason, the cooler heads prevailed and a deal was struck that prevented any loss of revenue or gameplay (save one preseason contest that would have involved our Cowboys).

The new deal included provisions to get an NFL stadium built in Los Angeles.  The question remains, though: which team will play there?

If the NFL is as savvy as their unmitigated success would indicate, the answer is obvious....

Blogging The Boys Let me be the first to say

the Dallas Cowboys of 2009 did not deserve to be in the playoffs.  They did not do the things neccesary to be there.  But there are many other teams who are in who also have no right to be there - the Arizona Cardinals, the Minnesota Vikings, and whoever won the AFC West (I don't even know or care who that is at this point).

So now we have all offseason to figure out how to get into a horrible division.

I think the NFC West would be best.  We already have a rivalry with three out of four teams, all we'd have to do is trade out with the Rams.  St. Louis was once home to an NFC East team.  Perfect, huh?  It's the least they could do for our handing them a big fat choke of a win this year.

What division would you like to see us in so we can win?

I was heartbroken when our season ended last January... so I came back with this.

If our season ends tomorrow, Romo doesn't want to know what I'm going to do to him this time.

Big Blue View NYG D-Line pwns Tom Brady...

Way to go, Giants, the NFL and her fans are in your debt.

Tom Brady eating turf is one of the most beautiful sights in the world.

This has to go down as the biggest upset of all time.  Lots of pundits don't agree, saying we've become slave to the moment and we need to look back at history for the real upsets.  Well, I looked back, and in my opinion the NYG made history.  I wish it had been the Cowboys, but y'all earned it.  Enjoy the offseason, and come September, get your butts ready for some football!

Pats Pulpit Coach Belichick Reminisces About Cleveland

In my humblest of opinions, Coach Bill Belichick got a raw deal whilst coaching the then-lowly (and soon to be former) Cleveland Browns.

From Wikipedia:

"From 1991 until 1995, Belichick was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. During his tenure in Cleveland he compiled a 36-44 record, leading the team to its most recent playoff game win in 1994. Based on his performance, many fans in Cleveland think of him as an uncommunicative, dictatorial and arrogant coach who made many questionable moves, including benching and then cutting much-beloved quarterback Bernie Kosar in 1993 in order to replace him with Vinny Testaverde, a move that sparked great controversy in the area. In Belichick's last season in Cleveland the Browns finished 5-11. In November of that year Browns owner Art Modell announced he would move the team to Baltimore after the season which cut the legs out from under the already struggling team."

But what does the coach have to say about it?

Pats Pulpit Brady and the Bride

Here's Brady talking to the bride, along with pictures of the woman.  I believe her name is Inez Gomez Mont, though she seems confused on the pronunciation of her own name.

After he deflects her advances, you can watch the two versions of how the story was covered by Michael Kim on ESPN throughout the day.

Heart-wrenching.  Devastating.  Emotionally crippling.  This will take a while to get over.  At least until training camp.

Blogging The Boys Romo will pwn NYG... proof inside

Hello, all.  Let me preface this by saying, I am a huge Cowboys fan.  I was with the team at 1-15, even though I was incensed at the Herschel trade (hey, I was a kid, I didn't know better).  I have reveled in all the great moments of this season, and I'm hopeful that our success will continue through the Super Bowl and into next season.
