I think it's a pretty funny video. My question is, why of all teams would he pick the Warriors. Surprised he didn't make it.

From ESPN's Chris Sheridan: Anthony Randolph: Probably one of the more pleasant surprises from this year's camp. The coaches loved his attitude and intensity, and his inside-outside game, his length and his speed are all huge plusses in measuring whether his game is suited to the FIBA style.

Chad Ford on the Monta Ellis rumor

I was on Chad Ford's live chat this morning when he was answering questions. Not surprising at all that someone asked about the Monta situation:

AJ (SF)

Chad - rumor has it that Monta Ellis is unhappy. The only way to appease him was to promise NOT to draft a point guard. If Jordan Hill is gone - who will GS take or will they trade the pick to the Clips for BD?

Chad Ford

I've heard a few rumblings that direction, but c'mon ... are they really letting Monta Ellis draft for them ... please. The Warriors will take whoever they think helps the team the most. I do think Nellie thinks Ellis can play some point, but it won't stop them from taking a guy like Stephen Curry, for example, who can be a combo guy too. D

I totally agree. Nellie will not let him make their draft decision. I also really doubt they'd take back Baron Davis and his ridiculous contract. I'd be really surprised if they don't take a PG, but I'm not holding my breath.

TNT's Aldridge thinks BD should be back in the Bay

It would be good for the league if the Clippers trade Baron Davis back to the Warriors. Davis and Mike Dunleavy hate each other. It's not going to work. So send BD back to the bay for Jamal Crawford and Anthony Randolph, whom Nellie is trying to run off the reservation, anyway. The Warriors were one of the most exciting, surprising stories in recent years when they exploded in the '06 playoffs, and Davis was their catalyst. Their long-suffering, incredibly loyal fans deserve a break.

I wouldn't mind seeing Baron back in a Warriors uniform, but not that the expense of Randolph. I heard from a very credible source (which I obviously cannot say who or else they'd die) that they are shopping Belinelli pretty hard in the offseason. Knowing the Warriors' dumbass front office, they'd give up Randolph for BD. Crawford and Belinelli for BD...YES!

Yes, us long-suffering, incredibly loyal fans do deserve a break...We will never get it until Rowell is fired/killed.

Monta is our PG, get over it

This post is for all of you who think we need a or going to get a starting point guard. Well we don't need one because we already have one. His name is Monta Ellis. We'll at best sign or trade for a backup PG.This is from the Contra Costa Times today:

"I'm pretty comfortable with him handling the ball whenever," Mullin said this week of Ellis, breaking 12 days of Warriors front-office silence after Davis' decision to opt-out and then leave for the Clippers.

"I'm pretty comfortable with (Ellis) dictating a lot with the ball in his hands."

I know Mullin has said something and done something else, but Maggette's signing should be the icing on the cake. I know Monta doesn't have good point guard skills, but it's enough to run a team with. He is a combo guard. Jason Terry, Devin Harris, Leandro Barbosa-all combo guards. They are all good players. I'd take Monta over any of them running the point.

REPORT: MAGGETTE AGREES TO DEAL WITH WARRIORS

Sorry no source yet but I was watching ESPN news and Marc Stein just reported that Maggette agreed to midlevel(7-8 mil) deal with Warriors. Stein also reported the Warriors aren't done in the free agent market.

I'm assuming that Iguodala is out of the Warrior's sight. This will be a good alternative to Iggy and for a pretty good price. But my question is that I wonder if Maggette would play at the 2 or 3. I would say he's an upgrade over Azubuike.

Current Lineup:

PG: Ellis, Watson

SG: Maggette, Belinelli

SF: Jackson, Randolph

PF: Harrington, Wright, Hendrix

C: Biedrins, Perovich

I'd say that lineup is still mediocre. Throw J-Smoov in there and call it a day.
