Petition to the White House to "Force" Charles Wang to Sell The Islanders

As a corollary to the #SnowMustGo hashtag trend: Someone created a "We The People" petition to have the Obama Administration "force" Charles Wang to sell the New York Islanders. I don't see how...

What should Garth Snow do with Nino Niederreiter this year?

With training camp starting this weekend and the new season starting next weekend, you'd figure one of the key decisions Garth Snow has to make is what to do with Nino Neiderreiter. Nino is...

Isles trying to acquire Bobby Ryan

Didn't see any discussion yesterday regarding Chris Botta's tweet that the Islanders are trying to trade for Ducks winger Bobby Ryan. It would be an incredible addition to the roster if Snow could pull it off. Botta's tweet seems to suggest that negotiations between Snow and Bob Murray continue. My primary question is, can the Islanders afford to give up what it would take to acquire Bobby Ryan? I mean, if I'm Bob Murray, and I get a phone call from Garth Snow asking me what I want in return for Bobby Ryan, I tell him I want John Tavares. That trade obviously ain't happening. So what's an alternative trade offer that Murray would accept? And would it be an offer the Islanders can afford to do?

Which Islanders team did you LIKE better? Last year's or this year's?

With the current season coming to a close this Saturday, I thought it would be appropriate to ask LHH members if they liked this year's Islanders team better than last year's squad or vice versa. ... Mock Drafts: Someone's Not Paying Attention

13 recently posted three mock drafts. Obviously, it's WAY too early to determine both teams' draft positions and the prospects' final rankings, but it's interesting to see how draft analysts perceive, even at this early stage, the needs and wants of all NHL teams. While two draft analysts predict the Islanders will draft Moosejaw blueliner Morgan Rielly, the 3rd analyst has the Isles selecting Goalie Malcolm Subban with the 6th overall pick with the comment: "Do the Islanders need another goalie? No. Do they need a good one? Yes." Given (1) the Isles recent reluctance to use their 1st overall selection on goalies, (2) that a different article positioned Kevin Poulin as one of the league's top 10 goalie prospects, and (3) the Isles' glaring need to improve their blueline depth, does anyone else see the chance of the Isles using their 1st overall pick on Subban as remotely unlikely?

So... who ISN'T injured in Pittsburgh?

Forgive me since this technically isn't Islanders related, but I can't help but be ASTOUNDED by how decimated the Penguins have become of late due to injuries. The loss of Crosby and Letang were significant enough, but now the Pens are looking at several weeks without Staal, Neal AND Adams? Wowee wow wow. (Of course, don't expect me to shed a tear for them if they end up not making the playoffs.) Or in a (lame?) attempt to make this Islanders-related, wouldn't it be just our luck if ALL these players returned to action on March 27? (If you're wondering about the significance of that date, check the NHL schedule.)

When bored airborne Islanders take to Twitter...

For those of you who don't follow the Islanders tweets, I thought you might get a kick out of a really funny Twitter exchange that happened amongst Matt Moulson, Michael Grabner, Kyle Okposo and M...
