Fake Teams Bizarro League needs owners!

Hello all,

I'm starting up a new 12 team ESPN head to head points league, where mediorcity is rewarded!

The scoring can be viewed here: http://games.espn.go.com/flb/leaguesetup/settings?leagueId=127167

Basic rundown is negative points for good things, positive points for bad.

A triple is worth -3 points, getting caught stealing is worth 5. At Bats are worth a point, so regular playing time is valuable.

On the pitching side, the longer you stay in the game, and the worse you do, the better!

Each inning pitched is worth 3 points, but a strikeout is -1. The dreaded Perfect Game will set you back big time.

This scoring system has produced a top five ranking never before seen.....

2011 Top Batters:

1. Ian Desmond

2. Drew Stubbs

3. Alex Gonzalez

4. Austin Jackson

5. Adam Dunn

2011 Top Pitchers:

1. Carl Pavano

2. Bronson Arroyo

3. Brett Myers

4. Jeremy Guthrie

5. Fausto Carmona

Get in on the chance to tell your friends that Carl Pavano won you the league championship this year!

Leave an email below. Thanks!

Fake Teams How Do You Like Your Roto?

Every year I join a lot of other peoples' leagues, and create one for myself. It is always a roto league, but never a lot of people. Maybe 8-10 at most.

I'm stuck at what kind of roster to make this year. Do I make a giant roster, with 2 catchers, 5 OF, tons of pitchers and a few UTIL spots? Should I make a small roster and replicate an MLB lineup with one of every position player, including a DH?

What kind of scoring categories do the experienced readers of this site like? I always go with: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG...W, K, SV, HD, ERA, WHIP. What else is fun for a roto league?

Any suggestions can be made in the comments section. I'm just looking to mix things up a bit. What are your experiences with creating a roto league for your friends? I'd love to know.

Thanks.
