Random Thoughts
The 8 teams with HCA, just completed their first games at home and almost all of the games have looked as real battles.
**UPDATE** Pounding The Rock Own Intro
As the Spurs got their own intro video, I thought that we PTRs may have one of our own. So, I make this one for us and share with you with some considerations after the jump

Knicks at Celtics ... and again the refs
before Allen took the 3 pointer, Garnett (5) fouled Douglas (23) with a GIGANTIC moving screen/p. The ref on the bottom left (at the begining of the video) was watching the action but... no call. That was a game turn against the Knicks....

News from Manu´s Twitter
As I said last night. It was the Ulnar nerve
Manuboy .... dedicated to werdnawee
Manuboy fights for the Spurs, a great NBA franchise, and himself against dark forces including Lakers and Heat , in a series of tales that have their roots in the 0.3 Fisher shot and the Gasol trade, vintage adventure, and horror injuries. In the stories, he is identified as the "World's Greatest Player ever."

Spurs Season
The parallel, or alternate, SPURSFRINGE fictional universe co-exists with the familiar SPURSFRINGE fictional universe as a central plotline in our current NBA season. Odd happenings , championship motives and the actions of many characters are linked to both universes. The existence of the parallel is unknown to the general population of familiar universe.
ESPN Playoff Predictors tweaked against the Spurs ?
I´ve run the 3 playoffs predictors (simulators) of ESPN and guess what .... it seems that the 3 are "tweaked" ...
and guess what ....
...tweaked against the Spurs
Spurs message to fans (Beatle Style)
Moments before practice the spurs sung to us ....
From Beatles to Spurs about the Seeding
Ticket to Ride (to the playoffs)
Little changes on the lyrics of course ....
Beatles message to Tim and any other Spur
Hey Dude don't make it bad
Take a sad play and make it better
Remember to let it into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
Hey Dude don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get it
The minute you let it under your skin
Then you begin to make it better
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Dude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Da da da da da
da da da da
Hey Dude don't let me down
You have found it now go and get it
Remember to let it into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
So let it out and let it in
Hey Dude begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you
Hey Dude you'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder
Da da da da da
da da da da Yeah
Hey Dude don't make it bad
Take a sad play and make it better
Remember to let it under your skin
Then you'll begin to make it better
Better, better, better, better, better, Yeah,Yeah,Yeah
1, 2, 3, 4, (Dude, Dude, Dudey, Dudey, Dudey, Dudey, Waaa!) 5, (Jude, Jude, Jude, Jude, Jude) 6, (Yah, Yah, Yah) 7, (Dude, HEY DUDE! Poll Predictions: 5 Days of horror
From now to the next wednesday we will be living 5 days of stress because by wednesday night, the definition of the final standings will get clinched. Why ?, well let´s see...
Last Strech Predictions
It´s the time of the season to make some really "good-chance-I-will-be-right" predictions. Let´s start after the jump...
From Argentina´s All Star weekend
Just wanna share a thing of beauty.
See the dunk contest winner in Argentina (Decorey Young).
Isn´t that an awesome and creative dunk ?
What all you PTRs think?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXunDRPNdLQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byws3DSaXqY
Manu is Nº 1
Since yesterday, Manu is the Nº 1 SG of the League in the PER Ratings.
Sure that we all knew that.
Top Plays: Griffin's case for dunk of the year
This photo crealy shows an offensive foul. That´s not a good example kids !!!
Najera: Maybe a good person but ....
... you can´t play in pro basketball anymore. That´s what a wide part of basketball players think here in my city.
But the NBA let you do it (and If you want, repeat it, and keep doing it, ).....
Mavs bench: Help, he´s gonna eat us alive !!!
Some FT´s facts
Some would say that I´m about to behave like a Mav-whiner-Fan.... but I´m not (I think)
When a team is going to win by 15 points, then some one-sided bad calls make that the same team wins only by 7, but doesn´t change the result.
Now in a tied game when a team is going to win by 3 to 5 points, then some one-sided bad calls make that the same team lose by 5 or 6 and changes the result.
I don´t wanna be called whiner, nor crybaby and even less Phil Jackson, so go to some stats facts I found on the comments section of 48minutes of hell.
Thank you Todd

In the first game for all series, here are all of the FTs per team. In parentheses next to the number of FTs is the average number of FTs per game in the regular season. When you look at the set, it is obvious that somebody got screwed.
Bulls – 11 (23.9) 46% of normal
Cavs – 17 (26.6) 64% of normal
It was called as “playoff basketball”. Cavs got a few more than expected.
Bucs – 17 (20.4) ) 83% of normal
Hawks – 19 (23.3) ) 82% of normal
A little under regular season calls for both teams.
Heat 13 (23.5) ) 55% of normal
Celtics – 28 (25.5) ) 110% of normal
Miami got the short end of the calls in this one. Six intentional FTs at the end leaves the Celtics with 22 (86% of normal).
Utah – 32 (27.2) ) 117% of normal
Nuggets – 28 (30.6) ) 92% of normal
Near regular season calls.
Thunder – 24 (27) ) 89% of normal
Lakers – 22 (24.2) ) 91% of normal
Near regular season calls.
Bobcats – 28 (26.6) ) 105% of normal
Magic – 27 (26.5) ) 102% of normal
Near regular season calls
Spurs – 14 (24) ) 58% of normal
Mavs – 34 (22.8) ) 149% of normal
Worst called game of the batch.
Take out the 6 intentional FTs on Dampier, leaves the Mavs with 28 (123% of normal).
Take out the 4 FTs given to Spurs after the game was already decided, leaves the Spurs with 10 (42% of normal).
Portland – 31 (24.8) ) 125% of normal
Suns – 16 (25.8) ) 62% of normal
Ten intentional FTs at the end leaves the Blazers with 21 (85% of normal).
"I'm not going to get $15 million in [San Antonio's] system."
- Richard Jefferson
And Rand said: "The Cavs will contend if LeBron isn’t savaged by weasels" ..... this was just published in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
Playoffs: First Round . Who and why ?
The Spurs are almost in the playoff contention....because to be out, really bad things need to happen like
Manu´s Interview with local Radio LU2 in Bahía Blanca
Today´s morning Manu had an interview with one of ours local AM Radios. Some bullets of what he said :
- "As Turkeys Worldchampionship gets closer, I´m gettin´ hungry about to play for Argentina.... "
So far the Spurs were the better team
I´m here in Bahia Blanca (Argentina) waiting for the game 7 and as you may know, 3 and half days of waiting in this "super fast Internet info world", is an eternity.
As a Spurs fan I´ve been reading all the NO-SAS stuff and I have noticed so many errors/misjudging/etceteras from the so called "experts sports writers" and I see (like every year) they are moving with the flow of just a couple of "ideas" like:
- The Spurs are old (losing)/experienced(winning):
- Bruce / Horry / Spurs is/are dirty
- The third quarter is key
One of this repeating (and wrong) ideas (and without any analisis behind) is:
"...in this series the teams splited blowouts (3 for each team)" (a weak ago was the same but 2 blowouts each)
Just take a look of this:
Game 1 4th qt: 5:12 to play --> SA 80 NO 88 (- 8 Points for SA )
Game 2 4th qt: 6:58 to play --> SA 76 NO 85 (- 9 Points for SA )
Game 3 4th qt: 5:10 to play --> SA 101 NO 90 (+ 11 Points for SA )
Game 4 4th qt: 6:09 to play --> SA 97 NO 74 (+ 23 Points for SA )
Game 5 4th qt: 4:56 to play --> SA 77 NO 85 (- 8 Points for SA )
Game 6 4th qt: 5:29 to play --> SA 91 NO 71 (+ 20 Points for SA )
There was really 2 full blowouts (from minute 2 to minute 48) : Games 4 and 6. The other 4 games were close enough for any team to win (just a matter of what I call "the clutch time strech run")
The important thing behind this numbers is that the Spurs had taken full control of 2 full games and the Hornets didn´t (just had taken control of 5 streches in their 3 victories) . I´m surprised that any "expert writer" didn´t noticed this (or tell about this).
But that was a fact from the past, now the spurs gotta face what Manu said before game 3: "This is a game 7 for us" --> but this time is for real and for Hornets too.
I wonder how the Hornet will face a real game 7.
I´m keeping with what Manu said days ago "experience matters in close games" so as I see it, if the next game in NO will be close like games 1, 2 or 5 (about 8 points and 5 minutes to play) I wanna watch a big pile of experience on the court (for the Spurs) or else I will pray for a lot of meltdown on the hornets (see PD2).
PD: Excuse me for my written english
PD2: In case of a close game my forecast on NO team is:
- I don´t think Paul is gonna melt, he´s really tough and good. He will fight till the last buzzer.
- Maybe Peja and Chandler go down with their shots in clutch.
- West is the X factor for NO: he´s gonna be "The Man" or "The frustated" but no midle point.
PD3: I know I wrote again "etceteras".
Brent Barry already a Spur... again
I´m from Bahia Blanca (Argentina), in other simple words: Manu´s city.
As a Spurs fan I´ve been reading all the Brent stuff and I agree with him coming back to the team and all the etceteras. Remember Stackhouse blowin the deal cos´he can´t kept his mouth shout, well this is kind of the same but in printed characters
Take a look on the fifth place in scoring leaders on the spurs website
... there´s Brent, but don´t tell anybody yet (specially Stern, or even worse: Mr. Cuban) you gonna wait until the end of the month.
