Card Chronicle Gilbert Arenas vs. Earl Clark: Mono a Mono

So, I know many of you have been wondering, "boy, would I like to see a one-on-one match-up with E5 and Agent 0.  Well, after I asked them to duke it out for CC fans world wide they said, "Absolutely!"  Maybe it was the CC shirt I was wearing, maybe it was my politeness?  Either way, we now have a video.  On another note, Earl looks like a beast and has finally added the weight he always needed.  Obviously this is a friendly game, but I think it's cool, so should you.

Card Chronicle Chane Behanan: Basketball > Dancing

As long as you can rebound Chane, I don't care how you dance big fella.  Go Cards

Since I need to hit the 75 word mark, let me enlighten you on some high school hoops coming up.  Louisville commit Wayne Blackshear and 2012 recruit Rodney Purvis will square off next weekend in Louisville.  Not sure if you can buy tickets online, but I'm sure Eastern's gym will fill up soon.  Future is looking bright for the Cards, as long as our recruits stick to what they do best.

Card Chronicle Never Nervous Purvis

Is 6'3 Rodney Purvis The Best Player In The Class Of 2012? (via Hoopmixtape)

Louisville just received a verbal commitment from the #1 PG in the class of 2012.  Welcome to Louisville Rodney.  Go Cards.

“With all the other schools I felt like they had other players they were recruiting before me,” Purvis said. “I was Louisville’s No. 1 priority and they made me feel that way. I just wanted to return them the favor and choose Louisville.”

Purvis, who recently switched from the 2013 class to the 2012, cited his relationship with the coaching staff and Louisville’s future as reasons he went with the Cardinals.

“Over time I gained a great relationship with coach Pitino and the whole entire coaching staff,” Purvis told Scout.com. “I liked everything there on the visit. The AD is very committed to Louisville basketball. I just feel like it’s a great spot and Louisville has a great future.”

Purvis, a five-star prospect, took an unofficial visit to Louisville a few weeks ago and he was especially impressed with the new YUM! Center.

“The arena is great,” Purvis said. “It’s one of the best things I’ve seen, period, and with all the people in there wearing red it made it even better. Just with the overall fan base and support they get from the whole city of Louisville, I’m just excited.”

Me too Rodney, me too.

Card Chronicle Tony Wroten's College Choice

UPDATE FROM YOUR FAITHFUL NARRATOR:

You can watch Wroten's announcement live right here. I have my first final in less than 24 hours and don't really feel like thinking about it, so I'm turning this into a de facto Wroten open thread.

When he picks Washington, say crazy things that will entertain me.

UPDATE FROM YOUR FAITHFUL NARRATOR OVER.

I know its football season and whatnot, but I just can't help myself.  And yes, I know, here we go again with another big name prospect....But my recent curiosity has led me to check out this thing called Twitter and...I admit, I am addicted.  I've been "following" some of our prospects and I guess it's just something to pass my time at work but I cannot help checking in on Quincy, Deuce, Tony and the like.

Anywho, this is my first time posting so I wanted to see if anyone wanted to do a quick little poll, as Tony will decide where he wants to play at 3pm PST;  6pm EST to you and me.  It'd be nice to land this kid, and I still feel it will set off a chain of other commitments, whether good or bad time will tell.  Thanks for voting and let's add one more name to that stellar '11 class that's suiting up?!
