CONNECTIONS

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick began his NFL coaching career as a special assistant for the Baltimore Colts in 1975 under head coach Ted Marchibroda.
Patriots assistant head coach/offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia was the offensive line coach for the Colts from 1989-90. Outside of those two seasons, Scarnecchia has been on the Patriots sidelines for each year since 1982.
Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri played for the Patriots for 10 seasons from 1996-2005 and is New England's all-time leading scorer with 1,158 points and also holds the team record with 263 successful field goals.
Patriots tackle Matt Light earned four letters at Purdue University (1996, 1998-2000), earning All-Big Ten conference first-team honors in 2000.
Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney was born in Hartford, Conn., and attended Bloomfield High School, where he was a SuperPrep, Prep Football Report, USA Today, New Haven Register, Hartford Courant and Blue Chip Illustrated All-American selection.
Patriots DL Ty Warren and Colts DB Melvin Bullitt were both born in Bryan, Texas. Both players also attended Texas A&M.
Patriots WR Wes Welker and Colts DT Keyunta Dawson were teammates at Texas Tech in 2003.
Colts WR Pierre Garcon played one year at Norwich Academy (Vt.) before transferring to Mount Union.
Colts Assistant Head Coach/Wide Receivers Coach Clyde Christensen was receivers and tight ends coach/offensive coordinator at Holy Cross from 1989-90.
Indianapolis Linebackers Coach Mike Murphy was a defensive line coach at the University of Vermont from 1970-73.
Colts Special Teams Coordinator Ray Rychleski served as Northeastern's defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach from 1989-90.
Colts Strength and Conditioning Coach Jon Torine attended and played football for Springfield (Mass.) College from 1991-95.
Indianapolis Area Scout Bob Guarini worked as Western Connecticut State University's offensive coordinator/assistant athletic director from 1992-93.

Week 3: Cardinals

The W in Miami, sure was awesome. Peyton showed the high quality of player he is and how he makes everybody around him better. Dallas had a day for the books and both Garcon and Brown had first rookie touchdowns which was great to see. Overall the "Wildcat" did gave us many problems but when it mattered most our D came up with the INT.

Will like to hear insights about the Cardinals....see concerns after the jump...

Now I will like to hear what our fan base thinks about the Cardinals.

I mean, Fitzgerald, Boldin, Hightower, Wells and Warner. Also about the D. I was watching the highlights from Jacksoville and the stats for the game.

Warner was 24/26 for 243yds and 2TDs.

Breaston 5 for 85 yds

Fitz 4 for 34 yds

Boldin 8 for 69 yds; fumbled once

Hightower 15 for 72 yds

Wells 7 for 44; fumbled 2 times, lost 1

Rolle and Toler, their returners, fumbled once each

Rogers-Cromartie also is a force in their secondary, him and his cousin, in the same team will be freaking awesome. Is Rogers-Cromartie going to be on Wayne all day??

Warner seemed to be very efficient with the ball. They did fumbled some times which might be good for us.

Now, what do you guys expect? I think our Defense will look much better against the Cards running game... but how about our secondary against the likes of Warner, Fitz and Boldin?

I think this game is going to be special. I think Collie will score his first. That Brown will have more than 50 yds. That Freeney and Mathis are going to have a good day. That we will lose on Time of Possesion but come up with a WIN, again. I can't see their running game having more than 125 yds, but I am concerned about their passing game. Are we going to have Powers back???

Whats up with Bracket, he OK??

Tell me how we are winning this one. Do we have inside info having picked Francisco???

Matchups, Special Teams all the goodies....we need to go 3-0 specially in the road againts the Cards. The Titans are already at 0-2 and the Texans are the one trailer we need to keep an eye on for the time.

After Polian states that it is on the defense that they might focus heavily on this draft. What do you guys think the picks are going to look now, after this statement???

Personally, I think we should get the best running back in the first round or James Laurinaitis at ILB.

1. LeSean McCoy

2. Shonn Greene

3. or maybe even Percy Harvin.

There will be defensive tackles in the second round that playing alonside AJ, should be able to make a difference. I got a feeling that we are picking more than one DT. We might get Hood, Brace or Moala in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

After the 3rd I really have no idea of what Polian might pull off.

But "In Polian We Thrust".

Give me your picks now that we might focus more on DEFENSE.
