Nucks Misconduct Milbury hits a 12 year-old with the child's own shoe

OK, not with a shoe, but this man is a joke:

The Globe and Mail: Milbury accused of assaulting Massachusetts child

Brookline police Capt. Tom Keaveney said Milbury was an assistant coach on his son's team when he allegedly attacked a player on the opposing team during a Dec. 9 game at a rink at town-owned Larz Andersen Park.

Mad Mike strikes again! I wonder if this means that the CBC will fire his ass? One can only hope.

Nucks Misconduct Strangeness in the Eastern Conference standings

Someone mentioned last night on HNIC that the Leafs (14th in the East) were merely 4 points out of a playoff spot.  Incredulous, I had a look at the standings and noticed something very odd: if the rest of the season plays out just the same as the season so far, Montreal will grab the 8th spot in the east with 82 points.  Seriously.  The Canucks on the other hand will miss the playoffs by 5 points with 92 points.  It looks like there are only 7 teams (so far) in the east that are playing reasonable hockey.  While I doubt that this trend will continue, it's an odd statistical occurrence.

Oh, and the Leafs still miss the playoffs by 8 points.
