Bad taste in my mouth...

Towards the end of the match last night, I heard a yell from the ADA Section 1 seats that has been on my mind all day. This man yells to a Tauro player, "You're just like your country, you're not going anywhere." I was absolutely floored! What kind of a moron attacks an opponent and their country? RSL has players from all over Central and South America, so if he is going to attack an opponent, he might as well attack Saborio, Espindola, Paulo Jr., etc.

This was a perfect example of why futbol has had such an uphill battle in the United States. Fans are arrogant, and make themselves look like complete idiots. I hope the way this fan thinks and acts isn't how the majority of RSL fans think and act.

I finally witnessed a rivalry game in person last week and was so excited when the Utes crushed the Cougs on their field. The only problem is I am still amped up, and wished we had a game this week. Is anyone else feeling the same way? Also, does anyone out there know people with tickets to ANY home game this season? I would need wheelchair seating, but any help would be much appreciated. From his Facebook page, it seems as though he left the team to go home to take care of some family issues. His oldest brother, who is only 23 according to his page was sentenced to 30 yrs in prison. The crime committed was not discussed, but to get a 30 yr sentence, it's obviously pretty serious. It was stated in a post by a friend that he would be attending UofH, but that's all.

At any rate, I wish him well and hope he is able to find comfort in his family

I found the following post on the wonderful world of Facebook, and just had to share it with all my fellow Ute fans. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

A U of U fan, a BYU fan and an Aggies fan are climbing a mountain and arguing about who loves their team the most. The Aggies fan insists that he is the most loyal. "This is for Utah State!" he yells, and jumps off the mountain. Not to be outdone, the U of U fan is next to profess his love for his team. He yells, "This is for the Utes!" and pushes the BYU fan off the mountain. Go UTES!!!!

Beau Burton?

I found a blog on deseretnews.com stating that Beau Burton has retired due to injuries. Is there any truth to that? I was really hoping to see big things out of him in the next few years. Also, is there any other injured players that have been forced to retire this spring besides Shakerin?

I hope the best for all those players who have decided to ''hang them up'' before their bodies are too beat up. GO UTES.

Any NFL Combine news?

As we all know, we have quite a few former Utes that are currently in Indianapolis working out for NFL coaches, scouts, and general managers. Does anyone have any info on how the combine is going at this point? I hope our boys show up and do their thing. I really hope to see all of these dudes get drafted and put on a show at the next level. I think that each of them have the potential to impact a team in a variety of ways. Thoughts? Vakapuna and Asiata? Are they gone? Please help

Someone please fill me in, I'm reading some very disturbing news on the Deseret News website. Are Tauni Vakapuna and Shawn Asiata really no longer with the team? Did the recruitment of Harvey Langi and John White force this issue? I'd hate to see them go. If they are gone, does anyone have any information on where they went and what they are up too? Any and all information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. GO UTES.
