So it seems its all coming to an end and we have a clearer picture of what teams are offering. I've been reading all the comments on different posts and it seems to me Stiff's are torn between the 2 deals on the table. Just wanted to put up a quick poll to see The Stiffs state of mind (pardon the pun). Can't wait to watch our new team against Memphis on Tuesday.
TT declined, McDyess anyone?
Yahoo! Sports posts:
The Spurs’ best chance to move McDyess, should it become necessary, would be to the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets are interested in another big man for the playoffs, and McDyess has a history in Denver that would make him comfortable with the move.
Denver has given up hope that it can acquire Thomas. Chicago general manager Gar Forman isn’t interested in the Nuggets’ expiring contracts that won’t help them reach the playoffs, nor a draft pick that’ll likely be late in the draft.
If this is true, I hope the FO can pull a miracle on TT. But if not, is McDyess worth it?
Billups back in All Star?
New Orleans All-Star point guard Chris Paul will undergo arthroscopic surgery for a cartilage tear in his left knee on Monday and could miss one to two months, sources close to Paul told Yahoo! Sports on Sunday night.
Paul injured the knee in the final moments of regulation in a loss to the Chicago Bulls on Friday.
Paul is expected to miss the All-Star Game because of the injury. Once the NBA confirms Paul’s unavailability, commissioner David Stern will appoint an alternate player to the Western Conference roster.
I can't think of any alternate point guard except our very own CB1! Too bad for CP3 but I'd prefer CB1 anyday!
5 injured starters
The Nuggs were without injured stars Chauncey Billups, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Andersen. They also lost Ty Lawson to an ankle injury during the game, and after the game, team officials said Nene had aggravated a sprained ankle during the fourth quarter. The availability of Lawson and Nene was described by the team as “day to day."
Btw, AC Allen or Petro are all healthy! Let's not lose hope! God oh God bless us!
Re-sign GK???
I wanna do an Andrew on you guys and see what the Stiffers think of joining the Re-signGeorgeKarl bandwagon. Karl said he wants to stay in Denver, but he’s also prepared to become a free agent, even if he isn’t excited about the possibility. New Jersey and New Orleans are among the teams who could be looking for new coaches over the summer. So what do you guys think? Should he stay or should he GOOOO???

Stackhouse looking for a contender
Stackhouse apparently had some conversations with the Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets but nothing worked out with either of those clubs and now he's got his eyes solely focused on potential contenders, according to HoopsHype. "That's my final goal. I'm trying to catch on with a team that's close to winning a championship. I think after all my years in Dallas I have proved that I can accept a role and still help a team."
He's 6'6" and plays guard/forward. I think he'll be nice coming off the bench for the vet minimum. He's got that playoff experience that he can rub off in the locker room. What do you guys think?
2K REAL NBA DENVER CAMP
I just finished watching the Nugget's training camp on nba.com. I think I'm pretty happy with what i saw. Aaron's showing a lot of good stuff and poor Ty's got George Karl's face on him the whole time. KMart got hit in his crouch area. Poor guy. Unfortunately I wasn't able to check out Keith and Joey. Looby probably won't make it. Any of you guys watched the camp too? What's your take?
Bobcats sign Flip Murray
Free-agent guard Flip Murray has reached an agreement in principle to join the Charlotte Bobcats, according to NBA front-office sources.
Murray and the Bobcats have a one-year deal at the NBA's bi-annual exception of $1.99 million, with a formal signing forthcoming as early as Friday, sources said.
After averaging 12.2 points last season as an off-the-bench spark for the Atlanta Hawks, Murray also received interest earlier this month from the Denver Nuggets. But luxury-tax concerns prompted the Nuggets, who on Wednesday traded for Houston's James White, to limit their offer to the $1.1 million veteran minimum.

I guess we really are settling for White.
Flip Murray or Keith Bogans?
Sources said the Nuggets early this month made a minimum contract offer of $1.1 million to free-agent guard Ronald "Flip'' Murray. However, Murray, perhaps hoping to get a deal worth the biannual exception of $1.99 million, has still yet to accept it.
Sources said Bogans wants to sign with the Nuggets, and he could be their backup choice if Murray doesn't take their offer. Out of the mix is swingman Desmond Mason, who signed a one-year minimum deal Thursday with Sacramento.
Nuggets vice president of basketball operations Mark Warkentien usually plays it close to the vest when revealing what his team might do. But he's not trying to hide one thing.
"We're going to sign a wing player," Warkentien said.
Both are unrestricted free agents and are way better catch than McCants or Wally World. And they are both cheap and could help us a lot. Murray's a better 3pt shooter but we can get more defense help from Bogans. What do you guys think?
No more No vak
The Clippers re-signed restricted free agent forward Steve Novak, the team announced today, nearly two-and-a-half months after extending a qualifying offer to him.
Novak averaged 6.9 points in 16.4 minutes a game in 71 games last season, and was able to sign an offer sheet with any team, though the Clippers had the right to match any offer. He made just over $1 million last season, but the terms of his contract were not disclosed.
I hope someone signs Wally World before we do. I'll settle for Coby.
