Dynasty League Question
Hi all,
I'm not a frequent poster, but I do love this site. It has really helped me out as far as rebuilding a fantasy baseball team that I took over that was full of Adam Kennedy's, Kevin Millwood's etc. The league is very straightforward. Lifetime keepers, no salaries involved 30 roster spots. There are 2 starting pitchers out on the market now that I would really like on my team, but am having trouble finding roster room. They are Matt Moore and Jacob Turner. Looks like I will have to drop Mike Leake for one of them though. Who do you all prefer? I don't want to discount all of what Leake has accomplished this year, but I do feel that both of these guys have a higher upside. I am rebuilding in hopes of competing in 2012 and beyond.
Is Kuo a good option for dynasty leagues?
I'm in a dynasty league and have the 1st pick in my weekly FA pickup order. I am in dead last so Kuo won't do me any good this season... The guy has been so dominant, and I know he is only being labeled as a "temporary" closer for the time being, but I sense this could turn into a permanent role. If I don't pick Kuo up this week, I will probably go with a high upside available prospect, (Grant Green or Matthew Moore).
What are your thoughts? Does Kuo have a shot of opening next season as the Dodgers closer?
Fantasy Baseball: Trade Evaluation
I'm rebuilding a team right now and was offered the following trade.
I'd be giving up Cole Hamels/Nick Swisher for Aroldis Chapman/Brandon Webb/Mike Leake. Kind of torn on what to do. He'd be getting the best player in the deal, (Hamels) and I think Swisher could be a good source of power for another couple of years.... but i do love the upside of Chapman. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
Grant Green or Dee Gordon
Both are available in my dynasty league and I will be using an FA pick on one of them this coming week. I've been back and forth on who I feel will put up the better fantasy numbers... and I do think that both will have successful major league careers... I also anticipate that their major league arrivals will be 2012. So in a standard 5x5 rotisserie league, who would you pick up?
Thanks!
3b prospect fantasy advice
Guys
I'm rebuilding a fantasy team and am need of a young 3b who can take over either next season or the season after that. Alex Gordon, Lonnie Chisenhall and Josh Bell are all out on the FA market and I will be using a free agent pick on one of them this coming week. The question is, which one do you think will have a better career, fantasy-wise. I'm leaning towards Chisenhall since he seems the safest, but Bell's power could sway me. I put Alex Gordon in as well, as I'm not so sure he's "done." Thanks for the input.
Chapman or Hamels?
I have Cole Hamels and was offered Ardolis Chapman for him I'm in a rebuilding mode, and while Hamels is having a solid spring, so is Chapman. I've never been a big believer in Chapman but now am buying into the hype. I originally turned this offer down, but am now reconsidering. This is a league where salaries do not matter and once a player is on your team, he is on your team for the duration of his career unless you trade/drop him. Who would you rather have for this year and beyond?
