Fear The Sword Post Draft, and not sure how to feel. Pls don't tell me this is it?

Ok, I'm good with Kyrie at the point, near and long term, with Davis to teach him the ropes.  I'm good with Andy playing center, although would prefer him as a 4.  I'm good with JJ although we now have what- 5 pf on the roster?  I'm even good with Tristan T's upside although will he be better then JJ?

So- post draft what have we got- no true center, no shooting guard, and no shooting forward;  3 pg, and 5 or more pf.  And an expiring TPE!

Please, please tell me Grant has something up his sleeve?  There MUST be trades coming!  Too much $ on pf's, and 3 missing positions!  Couldn't even field a team this way; and if they do, it will be worse then last year.

I understand the desire for secresy leading up to the draft; although I think it was overdone somewhat.  But now we as fans deserve to hear about plans, options, possibilities; something to keep interest up.

Fear The Sword A common theme is evolving amongst the fans

Numerous posts, including my own from few weeks back, all showing a growing need to DO SOMETHING!  Orlando pulls the trigger on major deal,  Nuggets getting close to dealing with Melo in a way that shows at least they learned something from the Lebron fiasco, and Cavs sit pat.

At 8-20, teams not going anywhere!  Projecting this out, looks like the pre-season experts may have been right and we may win 17-25 games and  miss the playoffs.  Ok, not .the end of the world, and for Cleve sports fans, not even surprising!

But; as long as fans go to the games, as long as $ is being spent, at least give us a future to look forward to!  Play Manny, play Boobie, play JJ, let them get experience.  Maybe even Samuels, bring up Eyenga, etc.  Lets see what we got.  Antwan shooting 30% doesnt' get me excited!  Deal him, get some young blood, or at least a bunch of pix for next year.  Heck, go get Sullinger from the Buckeyes- that boy is a beast!

Fear The Sword Time to blow it up!

Ok- lets face reality here;  this team is going nowhere!  Not a surprise, nor too disappointing; just reality.  So, its time to pull the plug, forget about that 8th seed, and move forward.  If it wasn't for the upcoming uncertainty of the CBA (collective bargaining agreement), this would be straight forward.  Again, reality for cleveland fan's always bites!

Get what you can for Jamison, Mo, Parker, even (and I really hate to say it), Andy.  Only "keepers" would be Boobie, JJ, and enough of the bench to field a team.  Stockpile draft choices for next year.  Let guys like Eyenga, Samuels, etc get time and experience. Go find someone who can shoot in the D league and give them playing time.  See what Manny can do.   Keep going to the Q so that Dan G know's we'll support him; but let's at least use this year to see who can/cannot play in the league- Losing by 20+ every nite proves that our starters aren't competitive and probably no longer interested (Andy excepted).

Fear The Sword Great article on yahoo sports- LeBum

great article today by Adrian Wojnarowski on yahoo sports about Lebron showing his true colors (and trying to throw coach under the bus!)  Worth reading-  good to see what we got rid of!  Looks like media finally catching on.  With LeBum "aplogizing" today to Cleveland, doesn't it seem he's only trying to head off the inevitable Boo's and Rant's that we're sure to stow on him Thursday nite?  Here's really, really hoping that the "lack of talent" otherwise now know as our starting 5 and strong bench put him, Bosch, and D in their place and WIN by 20!

Fear The Sword Morrison released by Wiz- the "3" we need?

Adam Morrison just released by Wizards.  Hasn't had a great start to a career yet; but in college, boy could he score.  What do you all think?  Could he fulfill the scoring "3" that we need? He's averaged 7.5 ppg, but only averaged 20 minutes per game.  Think Scott could turn him into a player?  The one thing we don't have (no offense to Jamario) is anyone to score from the 3 or at least keep double teams away from our guards and pf.

Fear The Sword Trade 4 for a 3

I'm liking what I see in preseason except for Antwan.  We still need a scoring "3"-  and between JJ, Leon, and even Andy at the 4 it seems we have an abundance. How bout we trade AJ for a scoring threat 3?  Who might be out there (Ok, Melo would be nice, but wouldn't stay in Cle after this year although salaries probably work)-  who else?

We could throw in a small guard as well as I think Manny H, Eyenga, Sessions, Boobie, Parker, Mo, may give us more then we can play.

Thoughts?

Fear The Sword Samuels- a "3" or a "4"?

Looks like a good pick up to me.  Seems to be able to run the floor, score, rebound.....  Why wasn't he drafted?  And, can anyone tell me if he's a 3 or a 4?  If a 4; don't we already have Jamison, JJ, Powe (and Andy) that play the 4?  If he's a 3- any thoughts on him being another LaQuit but coming into his first year? (Now wouldn't that be perfect!

Fear The Sword LBJ siting; where's Shaq?

So, for all the cra....;p that LBJ gets on here, primarily I should say from non-cavs fans; how bout a big hoorah given he's off for a couple of games; yet there he is courtside!  And where's Sahq been?  Any reason a starting member of the team isn't courside?  Can't say I like his team spirit!  And- enough of the cav's hating on here.  If you're a lakers fan, a celts fan, a mgc fan;  go use your own post!
