Hey guys. I just want to apologize on behalf of baseball fans for you having to watch Dusty continually putting Taverez and some other low OBP guy (tonight it's Rosales and his sub .300 OBP) in front of Votto in the lineup. Although I am a Cubs fan, I remember all too well the frustration and sickening feeling of seeing "C. Patterson/N. Perez" topping our lineup. I am sure I am beating a dead horse around here, but for the sake of good baseball in a great baseball city, I would love to see Dickerson/Hanigan 1/2 in front of Votto -- when you guys play the Cardinals down the stretch that is!

Keep the faith young men and women. Dusty will be gone eventually, and you will be free!

I think the best place to upgrade is at 2B. Obviously Fontenot has not worked out so far in a leading roll. How about trying to acquire Marco Scutaro (whom the Jays are "aggressively shopping"? He's a cheap, solid OBP guy, not much power - but placed in the right spot, he could lengthen the lineup. You could use him at 2B or flip flop him and Theriot, who's probably a better fit at second anyway. Thoughts?

Here's a little joke I thought of this morning after watching the HR derby last night on my tivo. Funny side note, the tivo only caught up through Hamilton's first round since it went on so long!

Q: How can you tell that Dusty Baker loves the Home Run Derby?

A: All the HRs are solo shots!

Alt A: He left an old pitcher with zero stuff (I think Jeff Fassaro was pitching to Josh Hamilton) in way too long with no one warming up!

I really could use someone's help on this one: I need to get something signed by Theriot and Fontenot for a friend of mine in Louisiana. Does anybody know how I'd go about that? I know I should probably send a self-addressed stamped envelop -- but to where and addressed to whom? Has anyone had a good signing experience with either Theriot or Fontenot? Any help or point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
