Penn State Hosts Five-Star Prospect (Hoops Edition!)

Not everyday this happens. Pat Chambers played host to seven-foot Greek import Georgios Papagiannis of Westtown School (Norristown, PA) on Thursday. Papagiannis is not only considered to be a five-star prospect, but many experts have tipped him to be a lottery pick once he decides to turn pro. Now, while this is nice, and certainly a good indication of Chambers' recruiting prowess, don't get your hopes up to see Papagiannis end up in State College. First off, this *is* Penn State basketball, and he *is* a future NBA player, so the Nittany Lions will have to fend off interest from some of college basketball's elite programs; Kansas has been involved in his recruitment from the get-go, and Maryland is firmly in the mix as well. It is worth noting that Papagiannis is AAU teammates with Josh Reaves, PSU's top target in the class of 2015. Okay okay okay. I'm getting ahead of myself. In any case, today was a good day for Penn State hoops.

NBA Draft Breakdown: Tim Frazier

The Nittany Lions don't have a history of producing NBA talent, but that shouldn't prevent their fifth-year guard from making a living playing basketball.

Pat Chambers' End of Season Press Conference

Some interesting tidbits here, namely that Tim Frazier was invited to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, a seniors-only pre-draft camp, and there is indeed one open scholarship to fill for next year's team. Also, Chambers says he expects everyone with eligibility to return, though he'll find out for sure when he meets with each player individually next week.
