A dad sticks up for their children. "Dad! All of our friends on twitter are saying that we are moving to London. Is this true?" "Son, we are going on a vacation to London. You know what? Im gonna build you a pool and buy you a shipyard." "Thanks, Daddy!"

"Dad, our friends say we suck. Is this true?" "We've lived in hardship for a long time. That's why I adopted you. I wasnt your biological father. He was a dead-beat in your teenage years, but Im here for you now. Im not going anywhere." "Thanks, Daddy! I love you and brother Tony!"

"Dad, why dont our Uncles care about us?" "Im not sure son so I found you some new ones. Uncle Gus and Uncle Dave are here for the long haul. Cry no more, my angels." "Thanks, Daddy!"

"Dad, can me and my friends have our own special section in the stadium?" "Sure son but everyone is welcomed. No one will make you sit down." "Thanks, Daddy!"

"What about food trucks, new uniforms, new helmets, faster players, better draft analysis, more open forums with the fans, downtown renovations, the biggest score board in the NFL!" "Hahahahaha! Sure son. Anything you want. I love you." "I love you too, Dad."

Cue the damn theme music.

Things to Watch

1. Development. It seems like it has been years and I do mean years since we have seen true player development on the Jaguars. Sure there is a few players that get better. Cecil Shorts is the exception and certainly not the rule. Gus Bradley and his staff are concentrating on bringing in younger, faster, and more inexperienced players. In addition to the slew of rookies and second year players, guys like Kyle Love will be given the opportunity to really showcase what they have. I am a Mississippi State fan so I cant wait to see what Kyle has to offer.

2. The Special Teams. Like player development, our special teams play has been downright awful for the last few seasons. Ace, Denard, and company should drastically improve that unit. It wont just be those guys that make the impact. It has been said countless times that the goal in this offseason was to "get faster." It's easy to point to the actual return men as the focus but if team speed was an issue at every position, it was an issue for all 11 men on the field during special teams. Not only will Ace and Denard be faster but the guys sealing their blocks, shooting gaps, and providing blocks downfield will be faster as well.

3. The pace of play on offense. I always hated the pace that the offense "moved" last year. Just off the top of my head, Blaine did better in "hurry-up" / "no-huddle" situations. Some of his best throws came when they weren't lining up and letting the clock get down to zero.

4. Andre Branch. I had high hopes for him. If our passrush improves, it will be because of Branch.

5. The offensive line. This has been the excuse for 3 years. The line was bad. Well, with the best overall player in the draft and a top 5 LT in the league anchoring the line, the line shouldn't be an excuse anymore.

Overall, it's nice to have hope. Last season we all pretty much knew that we weren't a playoff team. We didn't see the direction. This season is much different. We know that we aren't a playoff team but we do see the direction. Remember this season. It will be the turning point.

What are you most interested in seeing this season?

Baseball? Softball?

There is many things wrong with the current state of the Jaguars but is playing the wrong sport the biggest of them all?

@JohnOehser I hope Gus knows that this is a football team. You know, Pass, Catch, Run, Hit, ETC.
— Bob (@Jaxgy) June 7, 2013

WHOOOOOAAAAAA NEEELLLYYY! My boy Bob here brings up a great point. Does Gus know that this is a football team? It's hard to say. We have heard him talk about "Juices, Passion (which I assume he means passion fruit juice. What's the deal with the juice, Gus?) opportunities, and men that were fishing on the side of the road but has he ever in his life even mentioned football? Shocking to say the least, I know.

Here's the kicker. Bob is no fool. He goes on to say

@Kevin_Hine From the way OTA's are being reported, that baseball time could have been used learning to improve football team.
— Bob (@Jaxgy) June 7, 2013

Boom. Touchdown Blackmon. Get a clue, Coach Bradley. This isn't a softball team, bruh. I think that Tony Khan is taking this whole "Moneyball" thing too far. Sure, getting to first base is really important but is it more important than how many times you can bench 225 in the rain? I dont think so. Clean it up, Jaguars. If you dont, I have a feeling the janitors at Everbank will soon be called chimney sweeps.

Bart Hubbuch, an NFL writer for the New York Post said "Bad news, Jaguars fans: Goodell told me there’s a good chance the Jags will play TWO "home" games in London very soon." Of course this got Jaguars twitter into an uproar and rightfully so. It is WIDELY known that Jaguar fans on social media sites are among if not the most rabid. People try to jump into the lions bed and are scared when they actually come across Lions. After they sling mud, they act surprised at the backlash that they receive.

People's reactions from the backlash is the part that is mind blowing. Sure, we were 2-14. An awful team on all accounts. We had/have a terrible quarterback situation, our starting wide receiver is one incident from being suspended for a year. Our arguably best player is facing assault charges and we drafted a punter in the third round. That's some B-Rabbit shit. The media surely saw what happened to Papa Doc's ass. So before you start slinging stones, remember I know something about you, Buffalo, Detroit, Chicago, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Minnesota, San Diego, Miami, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, and Oakland. We might have a worse record than you but we are still screaming #sitdown. We still fit 64,984 large on a Sunday and that number is rising.

Now all these these lazy journalists can pick up their tired sports takes and get up outta here like Lyckety-Splyt. From Blanding to the Avenues. From Palatka to Penny Farms. From Green Cove to Eagle Harbor. From Yulee to Starke. From Orlando to Tallahassee. From Maryland to San Antonio. From England to Australia. We outchea, ya bish and that wont be changing anytime soon. Come at us though. Just RIP those mentions.

Did Natrone Really Mean Business?

Sometimes. His second season as a Jaguar was easily much better than his first. His first season was pedestrian at best. 507 rushing yards in 14 games? WOOOF. He turned it on in year two with an amazing 823 yard. Wait, that's not exactly amazing is it?

Have we built up Natrone too much? Maybe. Looking back, and by that I mean googling, Natrone only cracked 1000 yards once.

We do that, though. We take snap shots in our heads about who the good players are and then 10 years down the road we act like they were something incredible.

"Business " is a good name for Natrone. He came in, did his job, and punched the clock. That's what most people do in business. Most people preform at a pretty standard level. They arent All-Pros. They arent MVPs. They are serviceable backs with a few great moments in their careers. Natrone's moment was pretty damn big.

Let me remind you about Natrone's moment.

Jacksonville Jaguars 4th quarter Mile High Miracle 96 playoffs (via J Wallace)

Cot Damn that is some good down the field blocking. Natrone was very shifty for a big back. He was a great compliment to the kind of scrambler that Brunell was. He ate up blockers off the edge and gave Mark seams. Natrone had great instincts about which way to head when Brunell was on the run. He was always there to give an extra few yards.

The third and 5 throw for the touchdown at the 7:05 mark in the video is flat out insane. Brunell put it right on the money. That drive was all Natrone and Brunell. It was incredible to watch then and it still is now. Jimmy, Keenan, and Brunnel get their credit but let's not forget about the huge plays that Natrone made in that 4th quarter. The snap shot that I have of Natrone from that game will last forever.

Let me tell you about a few of these heroes.

I remember the first time that someone I knew was killed in combat when I was serving in the Marine Corps. It kind of stopped me in my tracks. I didn't know how to respond. I was in my house in Okinawa, Japan. I was throwing a barbecue at my house and had nearly my entire platoon over for drinks and shit. I was only a Lance Corporal. My sergeant got a call on his phone and his face dropped. He told me to turn the radio down. It was my house but the tone was clear. It wasn't an option.

Sergeant Adam Cann was killed in action. Sgt Cann was the first dog handler to be killed in over 30 years. The war wasn't real, I mean really real to me until that point. People that I knew were dying. People that did the same job as me were dying. I didn't know Sgt Cann that well. I did however hear his name almost everyday for 5 years. It was the reason that we trained. We trained for Sgt Cann’s memory. We trained so that we might come back. I had never looked at it that way before.

I found myself in Fallujah, Iraq.

Cpl Dustin Lee was assigned to 3rd Recon Battalion. We had joked around quite a bit and he told me some stories of what he was doing with Recon. I had just gotten to country and had only been there for a few weeks. I was back at Camp Baharia when my three-man kennel received a call that an RPG killed Cpl Lee. My Marines and I rushed to Camp Fallujah to be there for the memorial. Lifting the Cpl Lee’s box and putting it on the helicopter to be returned to his parents is something I will never forget.

I’m fighting back tears.

Cpl Lee’s death brought about changes in how military working dogs are treated. Military members are given greater opportunities to adopt their dogs. In fact, Cpl Lee’s parent’s adopted his dog, Lex. It is an amazing story.

The last story that I will tell you is about my best friend that I had while serving in the Marines. His name was Christopher Diaz. Writing “was” still takes my breath away. Diaz was killed in Afghanistan. But before that happened, he was my golf buddy, a dad, a son, a fiancé, a leader, and one hell of a Marine.

When I got to Okinawa in 2004, Chris was the first dude that I connected with. He liked sports, video games, guns, drinking. On top of that, he was my neighbor. His son was born just 2 months after my daughter. We dressed our kids to go Trick or Treating together. We certified our dogs together. We competed for promotions against each other. We tried to outshoot each other. I would destroy him in NCAA football. He was stupid loyal to UT-El Paso. I would pick Florida State and crush him.

I was on my anniversary trip with my wife when I got a call from one of my former Marines. This Marine had been out for about 6 months. We were now on a first name basis when we spoke. He called. I didn't pick up. He called again. I didn't pick up. He called for a third time in a row and I picked up and said “Jesus bro, what do you want?” “Staff Sergeant.” He hadn’t called me Staff Sergeant since he had gotten out. “Yes.” “Are you by yourself?” “No, my wife is here. What’s up?” “Staff Sergeant Diaz was killed in Afghanistan last night.”

Blank.

No. No way. Chris was one of the best Marines I knew. “What happened” I asked as I choked through the words. “He was stacked up on a house and it blew. He was killed instantly.”

Now what?

I’m still waiting for the what. I’m not sure what happens. I’m not sure how to act on Memorial Day. All I know is that I miss Chris. He was a pretty big bastard. But he was my friend. He was the dad of two children. His parents loved him. His brother loved him. He loved beer and all of the above.

When you go out this weekend, which you should., drink a beer or two for these bros. I could tell you many more stories about many more Marines that I knew who were killed. That’s for another time, I guess.

Freedom isn’t free. Liberty has a cost. Some of my friends have paid the ultimate cost. Some of your family or friends have as well. This is America. We are the greatest fucking country in the world. We are the greatest country in the world because men like Adam, Dustin, and Chris had balls of steel.

Semper Fi. Go Jaguars.

One of the many aspects of a player's character that isnt scrutinized enough is "Are you #teambison?" Jordan didnt wait to be asked. He showed leadership that you cannot teach. His second tweet was

@discovery mustache check, wool socks check, and I'm hoping for a bison fight #teambison
— Jordan Rodgers (@JRodgers11) May 20, 2013

If that doesnt just spell it out, I dont know what does.

Not only does Jordan tell us what team he really is for, he opines on life's biggest questions. He spits out truth for days. I often wondered this myself.

Why can't we come out of the womb climbing up a cliff #mountaingoats #northamerica
— Jordan Rodgers (@JRodgers11) May 20, 2013

I wish I came out of the womb just climbing my little baby privates off. Cliffs. Cliffs are for losers. Climb them and you wont be a loser. It's really that simple. The pussification of America partly stems from our lack of instant infant cliff climbing.

And then,

Nanny goats #beastmode
— Jordan Rodgers (@JRodgers11) May 20, 2013

My goodness. If that doesnt sum up everything all nice and neat, read a book, bro.

Talking about taking charge of the huddle. The young buck comes in and tells Tim Selleck to move aside. MOVE ASIDE TOM SELLECK! Have you seen that mustache, bro? It is THE mustache. Not only that, but he just groups himself in with Erin Andrews. Doesnt ask. Just assumes. That's what the french call a #powermove.

Move over Selleck, me and @erinandrews got this. #northamerica play by play
— Jordan Rodgers (@JRodgers11) May 20, 2013

Things take a little more serious tone when Jordan gives an obvious observation. I think it is safe to say that we all thought this at some point. After all, why arent they THAT rocky. Sure, they are a little rocky but it isnt that big of a deal.

I thought the Rockies would be a little rockier... #NorthAmerica
— Jordan Rodgers (@JRodgers11) May 20, 2013

After a while it was powermove after powermove after powermove.

Shunned RT @aaronscanlan: "@jrodgers11: Live tweeting #NorthAmerica join or be shunned forever" you cant Shun me you dont even know me
— Jordan Rodgers (@JRodgers11) May 20, 2013

I grew up in a military family. My dad was in the Navy and we traveled the world. I lived in Maryland, Italy, and Jacksonville all before the age of 6.

When I was 21, I joined the Marine Corps. After a few years, this happened.

Duval 'Til We Die

Jacksonville Jaguars fans have been made fun of for years, but all of that poking might have awakened a beast of a fan base.

One of the worst aspects of my deployment was the lack of support that I received from my family. I only received two care packages my entire deployment. One of those was from someone I didn’t know. My daughter was 18 months old and I didn’t see how she developed into a young toddler. My ex cheated on me three days after I was shot. Things were terrible. That was easily the lowest point in my life. I dropped nearly 60 lbs, looked like death and felt worse. When I got off the plane, my mom started to cry. I thought it was because she was happy to see me, but later she told me that she was crying because how bad that I looked.

When I got back to Japan from Iraq I was transferred to Quantico. I had single custody of my daughter who was 2 1/2. I was a young Marine Sergeant 6 months removed from a gunshot wound, working long hours and taking care of my daughter by myself. Shit was rough. I drowned myself in work and parenting and refused to look at issues that were popping up in my personal life because of the war. I honestly didn’t have time.

I got a facebook request from someone that I thought was hot as all get out. I didn’t know who she was when I first saw the name. Didn’t matter though, she was hot and I was single. Friendship request accepted for days. I looked at more of her pictures like a straight creepshow. I was picking up what she was putting out. Boyfriend? What does your man gotta do with me? Nothing. I messaged her some creepy shit and she actually responded back. A few weeks later she was on a plane to come spend the weekend with me. My daughter was visiting her mom so it was perfect.

She came back again the next month and met my daughter. I came home early without calling and when I walked in the door, she was on the floor playing with my daughter. They were laughing together. She left the next day and I drove from the airport to the jewelry store. We had been dating six weeks.

Now we have another daughter and have been married for almost 4 years. She has been incredibly supportive with what I go through. She has a master's degree in psychology, which really helps when trying to understand someone with my issues. She is patient with my memory loss and understands my mood swings. She doesn’t get mad when I put the blender in the fridge because I am having a "TBI moment." She laughs and puts it cabinet.

In 2012 I was medically retired from the Marine Corps. My whole life was different. For nearly 10 years every decision that I made was influenced or directed by the Marine Corps. I moved to Texas from Quantico in order to train dogs at the Military Working Dog School. It was awesome. My favorite assignment that I had ever gotten. Teaching service members how to locate bombs with Working Dogs will have a lasting impact on our military. Of all my accomplishments in the Marine Corps, teaching there was my most significant.

Now that I am out, I am a dad, husband, and Jaguar fan. That's it. For years my first title was Marine. That's different now and it took some getting used to. Around September or so, I fully engulfed myself in Jaguars twitter. Even though I didn't actually get out of the Marines until November of this year, I was sitting at home for the last 6 months waiting for my discharge. My concussion symptoms had reached the point where it was liability to have me around gunshots and aggression-trained dogs. My doctors were worried that I could have permanent damage with one more heavy-hit. So, instead of dwelling on my injuries, I made jokes on twitter. I made new friends. I talked about nephews, nieces, dick wrecking, powermoves, wristbutts. I basically turned my twitter account into something that we would talk about every day in the Marine Corps. I talked about nonsense, ya bish.

In the process of doing that, Jaguar fans filled the void that I was feeling. I haven’t been to Jacksonville in 5 years. My family lives there but I am not close with them. I haven’t attempted to go to Jacksonville since I returned from Japan in 2008. But now, I have a family to go see. The funny part is that I know most of my new family solely by their twitter handles. "Man, I can’t wait to go drink a beer with MadebyTim, Burritobroshits, and Jagstom. AlfieBCC and I are gonna go fishing!"

The most amazing part of being a Jaguar fan for me is that the fans have made my love for the team stronger. The team is almost secondary to the fans at this point. Sure, the Jaguars on the field are important, but not as important as the fan interaction. The Jaguars fans are what make this team so great.

Jaguars have the single most accepting and ruthless fan base of any team that I know. It's like the Marine Corps of twitter. No better friend. No worse enemy. We outchea. Walk softly and carry your big teal dick.

That's what makes the national media dialogue about our team so baffling. We don’t have fans? Seriously. Maybe not, but we have a fan base that is literally making impacts on people's lives. LIVES. We are investing in each other lives. This is the type of fan base that consoles someone when their mom passes. This is the type of fan base that has helped guys through depression. This is the type of fan base that shares unfortunate aspects of their lives and are met with support. This is the type of fan base that celebrates births, birthdays, graduation, retirements, and marriages. This place is Duval. Duval is becoming much more than just a place on a map.
Jerry Rice: The greatest to ever play the game. Tim Tebow has great hands. Dude is flat out electric in the open field. I had the chance to interview Deion Sanderson the other day. He told me that Tim is the best WR prospect that he has ever seen play quarterback poorly. Incredible stuff.

Emmitt Smith: Someone remind me where Emmitt went to school? Someone remind me what state Emmitt played high school ball? Enough said there, right? No need to insult your intelligence.

Jason Taylor: Long. Handsome. Well-spoken. Good dresser. Sex appeal. Possible romantic involvement with Lindsay Vonn.

Warren Sapp: Four words; Hall of Fame.

Lawrence Taylor: One of the most dominate to play his position. Tebow has recently been seen working on defensive techniques in order to be able to fit the LEO scheme. Im excited about that.

Micheal Irvan: sex.

Kurt Warner: Christian. Superbowl Winning QB. Led his team to a playoff victory (much like our boy). Bags groceries.

Hines Ward: Former SEC quarterback turned into an all pro-WR.

Wait. Mother of God.

What do all those players have in common (despite the fact that they were actually given a chance)?

THEY WERE ON DANCING WITH THE STARS! Can you imagine Tim Tebow out there just dripping sweat like rain? Out there tangoing like you see in the streets of Mexico City? Spinning. Dipping. Dripping. Twirling. Whirling. It would be like a dream within a dream within a dream within a wet dream. People would be fainting. Text messages would be buzzing for days.

Imagine if you could vote, I mean really vote, for Tim Tebow on Facebook via the Dancing with the Stars fanpage. Can you even contain your excitement? Family entertainment.

"Gather around, Children. Mom, get the popcorn ready. Three bags this time, honey." "THREE BAGS" the kids exclaim while grabbing their pillow pets. "You heard your father, kids" jokingly laughs the mother as she slips into her robe.

The anticipation builds as we wait for Tim's preformance. Per usual, Tim goes last. Governor Christie, while enjoyable, just doesn't put the asses in the seats like Tim. He had an embarrassing little tumble in the middle of the Waltz. That will probably send him home this week.

THERE HE IS! THERE'S TIM!

That's where I am with the Tim Tebow to Jaguars deal. It doesnt matter. Sure, occasionally there is some dumb ass that puts out a radio spot. But let's be honest, ESPN Radio runs an "Obama is looking to receive a third term" commercial every single day. Most national news agencies dont cover the "Birther" issue anymore. Do people still have rallies about President Obama's birth certificate? Sure. Does it matter? No.

People, dick head lawyers included, saying that they want Tebow doesnt matter. He isnt coming. Ever. Dave Caldwell posted the long form birth certificate at his introductory press conference. That's all we need. Crazies dont sign our players. Caldwell does. Until that changes, you are giving a louder voice to the Westboro Baptist Church of the sporting world.

Im done with the Tebow deal. I trust Caldwell didnt forge the document at his press conference. Im no longer mad, bro. Time to go lift.

Ok. Fred was a straight up stud his whole football career. A Florida kid from Glades Central High School in Belle Glade. My nephew had stand out senior year blasting fools to the tune of 1700 yards and 22 tds. That's a lot. In college Freddy was a beast at the University of Florida. He helped lead Florida to a national championship blah blah blah. You can get all those stats and normal insight from wiki. That's not what this section is about.

This section is designed to help you know who you should or should not freak out over when you see them or hear about them. A bro walks into a bar and sees that you are wearing a Jaguar shirt. He's like "Damn. That's a cold ass honky. He's standing united in these streets. I think I will talk to him about Fred Taylor." "Hey bro, sick shirt. Was that made by Minor Threads? Awesome. Do you remember Fred Taylor?" Now you stare back at him looking like a clown. He sees that you dont. Then boom. You Zach Morris his ass and throw a timeout on the whole place. Now you are remembering that you started to read this post but then stopped because I made some asinine grammar mistake. Get over it, bro. Im helping you. Now, welcome back. Watch this:

TIME BACK IN AT THE BAR: "Hell yeah I remember Fred Taylor! Who wouldnt? Do you remember his pad level? It was unmatched. If he wouldnt have been hurt, I think he could of challenged the all time record! Has anyone ever been more unnoticed than Fred Taylor. Best Jaguar of all time. Period." "I couldnt agree more, nephew. Let me buy you a beer."

See there? Now you dont look like an idiot but you also got a free beer! Youre welcome.

Fred Taylor. Never forget. Never. Ring of Honor. Hall of Fame (should be) and the best Jaguar of All time.

The most important aspect of our fan base is that we view ourselves as a family. These Jaguar streets have been rough for the past view years. We refer to this time period as "The Dark Ages." Later, there will be a post that discribes what the Dark Ages were (were is key).

If you follow the writers, frequent commenters, and Jaguars fans in general on twitter (you should if you dont), you will see that we call each other "nephew" "aunt" "uncle" and "nieces." If you see a Jaguar fan, an appropriate response is "I see you, Nephew." Do it. It feels good. Stop reading for a second, put your beer down and go into the next room. Find a Jaguar fan (there should be one in there or you are doing it wrong) now say "I see you, nephew." Dont you feel flat out electric? Your heart is racing. Your pants are fitting tighter. That's the feeling that comes along with being a Jaguar fan.

Occasionally the Jaguar family will get into little arguments in the comment section. That's fine. Family does that ish. We argue. We fight. We make up. We drink beer. We explode on twitter with sexual ecstasy when something good happens.

If you are new to the Jaguars, welcome, ya bish. We are glad you are here. For real. Lots of fans turn their noses up at "bandwagon" fans. Not us.

If you are over 18, you werent born into the Jaguars. You made the choice just like we did. Some of us have been fans for a while. Some are new. All are important. If you want to be apart of a team that appreciates its fans, this is the spot. I absolutely love being a Jacksonville Jaguar fan. Love it. Love. It. Plus, teal makes my eyes pop like you wouldnt believe.

Blackmon's Effect on the Franchise

As pointed out this morning on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Justin Blackmon's 2013 actions resulted in his team going 2-14 and also led to the entire team's scouting and coaching staffs to be dismissed. Shad Khan is a renown business man. That is a fact. But is he also a wizard? The team was really turning it around on the field nearing the end of the season. Despite finishing 0-5 to end the season, Chad Henne was playing at an All-Pro level. Justin Blackmon was a huge part of that. But, because of Khan's wizardly foresight, he fired everyone. He knew that in just mere months, Blackmon would be drunk nearly everyday (Source 1010xl callers) and that he was most likely smoking crack (source: twitter). This cant be tolerated so everyone was canned.

Colin Cowherd also pointed out that Blackmon was over drafted. I mean, he only really had one good game in college. One. That's a fact.

The most troubling part of this story is that no player has ever come back from a suspension of any kind to have a successful NFL career. It's deheartening for the fan base to know that we wasted not only the first pick in last year's draft but, if precedent is any indication, also next year's first round pick on Blackmon. Brutal. Getting that pick taken away is going to be rough.

Hopefully we can win one game next year. If not, we wont win any games next year.

So my message to Justin Blackmon is:

This year, with no "surefire" number 1 pick, the draft has remained in limbo until the final approaching hours. The Kansas City Chiefs haven't announced that they are working with "Dick Wrecker" to get a pre-draft contract. One of the greatest aspects about the rookie pay scale is that you dont have to ensure that you can sign the top pick before he is drafted.

In the past, the selection of the top OT might be somewhat contingent on what each man was willing to accept for a contract. Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III would have been in contract talks days if not weeks before the draft. Spoils the fun of the first 30 minutes of the draft.

This year will be different. This year, hopefully, no one will know until the pick is announced.

My favorite part of not knowing is the twitter reaction. If you are a Big Cat Country consistent reader and you are not on twitter, you are doing it wrong.

Take yesterday for example. In years past, there would have been a leak of the uniform and the twitter response would have been tepid. But, since everything was kept quiet, twitter exploded with a sense of sexual explosion as soon as the uniforms were relieved. It was organic. It was amazing.

As a Jaguars fan, I am looking forward to that same feeling tomorrow night. It could be the greatest twitter hard on that I have ever seen or there could be outright revolt. Either way, if LaConfora can remain muted, we are in for one hell of an evening.

Get your popcorn ready and following along @unclechaps.

2-14. We were 2-14. The bottom of the NFL. We started from the bottom and we are still here. With all respect to Johny Football, I cant stand Drake. Drake knows optimism that Jaguars fans can only dream about. Why must we make it so easy for the rest of the league to make fun of us?

I've paid my 36 social league coins to see that the Jaguars are changing from all teal to all gold. I hate it. You know why I hate it? Because now my friends taunt me nonstop about loving the Golden Girls. "Hey Chaps, you dick head! Did you know that the Golden Girls arent just a foursome anymore? Apparently there is 53 Golden Girls, one of whom is a punter that was drafted in the 3rd Round." Boom. It's that simple.

"I wonder if Aunt Blanche is the competition that Dave Caldwell was talking about?"

"I've heard that Ruth was going to be the new LEO."

"Is Sophia going to be the strength coach?"

F that, bruh. Sure, Sophia has tits for days but what does that do for my team? Nothing. Pot Roast had bigger tits and that dude is playing in Denver now.

Clean it up, Jacksonville. Bring back teal or refund my season tickets that I dont buy.

PS. I do admit that the bottom of those cleats were some of the best looking bottom of cleats that I have ever seen. Fire. I retweeted those for days.

The NFL might act like it is concerned about the players but one thing is for certain, the NFL doesnt care about the brains of its logos.

Two new logos have been rolled out this year and not a one can be seen sporting any type of protective equipment. The league went so far as forcing the Miami Dolphins to force their logo to remove its helmet. Just absolutely outrageous. Everyone knows that a Dolphins main form of attack and self defense is ramming its opponent with its face and head. Isnt this the very thing that the new rule was designed to prevent? Talk about speaking from both sides of your mouth, NFL. So the logos can do whatever the hell they want but if my boy MJD knocks some sucka in the mouth with the crown of his helmet that is a flag? No Sir-ee. Not on my watch.

Bears need helmets.

Lions need helmets.

Jaguars need helmet.

Browns dont need helmets because thats a color and weird.

Rams dont need helmets because of horns. (adorable)

Buccaneers need helmets.

Panthers need helmets.

Jets dont need helmets because of guns. (not the right message either)

Patriots need helmets. They are people!

Steelers dont need helmets because steel is super hard. (Science tip)

Chargers dont need helmets because electricity is powerful.

Im pretty sure that is all of the teams. Im not sure, though. My memory is bad because I didnt wear a helmet. /drops mic

Touchdown Blackmon.

My sources tell me that the Jaguars are going to attempt to draft an actual screen of smoke to use as their offensive line. The reason why Meester was kept on the roster is because he is older and snapping the ball while being close to smoke wont matter because he will be old and stuff. Really wild strategy but it just might work. Imagine if you will:

Jaguars line up for a run. Do they throw it? Do they run it? Doesnt matter, there is a smoke screen right there, THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT! Boom, touchdown Blackmon.

Drafting Geno Smith with the 2nd pick and a smoke with the 33rd would make the most sense. Geno has spent years playing around burning couches so he is used to it. Bear in mind though that drafting actual smoke has never been done before according to Elias Sports Bureau.

But, either had the LEO position. Is this a match made in heaven or will drafting smoke set this draft class up in flames? Situation developing.

In March of 2007, a Marine by the name of Cpl. Dustin Lee was killed in Fallujah. Cpl. Lee was a dog handler that served with 3rd Recon Battalion. Cpl. Lee was stationed in Albany, Georgia. While standing at a firm base called OP Mohammad, Cpl. Lee was struck by a RPG that went over the compound's wall. He was killed instantly. When this happened, I had been in Iraq for about 14 days. I was working on Camp Baharia and training my dog to locate buried explosives. When my group of four Marines received word that Cpl. Lee was killed, it was devastating. I had been in the Marines for almost 4 years at this point and didnt know anyone that was killed in action. I didnt know how to react. I knew that it was going to happen but it caught me very much off guard. The four of us quickly packed up and went to Camp Fallujah to attend the memorial service. I'll never forget the first time that I put a body bag onto a helicopter and watch it fly away.

Brutal to say the least.

Although it sounds harsh now, next man up is our philosophy. I was that next man. 1st Recon had just got into country and I was selected to be the dog team that worked with them. Working with Recon was a special honor for dog handlers. Recon was the best so you had to be considered one of the best to work with them. I was scared. I knew that they did missions that we most likely outside of my scope of training.

But, cowboy the fuck up. So I did.

My first night that I was out with Recon, my dog and I found 9 IED's in 6 hours. It was a rush. A rush that made me feel like I needed to puke. So I did. Standing next to explosives that can kill you or rip you from limb to limb and then moving on to the next one is something that I will never understand in the present but it made perfect sense in the past.

I'll never forget what the sound of my first fire fight sounded like. As Marines, we pull our own targets in the pits (the place underneath where the targets on the rifle range are located.) After getting shot at for the first time it was clear to me why we did so. You pulled pits so that you knew what it sounded like when you were being shot at. Shit sucks.

After the fire fight was over, it lasted 9 and a half hours, I was asked to search the areas surrounding where most of the shooters fled from.

"No problem, sir. I'll need a team to provide security."

I went out with my group of three to a location that we were told that a dump truck filled with explosives was being staged. After searching for about 5 kilometers we made it to our grid. My dog was pulling hard as shit in the direction of a dump truck. He went straight to the dump truck and sat down (which gave me the indication that he smelled explosives.) I radioed back to my command unit and told them what happen.

"Get onto the truck and verify what your dog is indicating, Cpl."

"Excuse me, sir."

"Get your ass on that truck and look inside."

"Aye Sir."

I have never been as scared as I was at that moment. Sheer and utter terror. If it went off, I was dead. If people came out, my rifle was slung behind my back and likely, I was dead. Most likely, to me, I was dead. Shit.

Well, I found out that there was 8 55 gallon drums filled with explosives and charged in all directions. More explosive power than the Oklahoma city bombing. After I made visual, I ran faster than I have have ever ran before. Chris Johnson type speed.

16 hours later, after keeping overwatch, a 500 lb bomb was dropped on the truck and it was blown in place.

Four days with recon. Stories to last a life time.

The day I was shot I had searched into the city of Karma. It took me 19 hours to move a mile and a half. We got to our house that we were going to take. I searched every single house in the village to ensure that no one had more than 1 AK-47 and that no one had explosive making devices. I was exhausted and it was time for me to get some sleep. My dog and I always slept right by each other. He was there, my weapon was tied to my leg, and a pistol was behind my head.

Gun shots. Many of them.

Mortar rounds exploded. Many of them.

I stood up. Dazed. Confused. Normal.

I reached for my weapon and heard guns shots ringing out and popping all over the house.

At this point I had been in over 40 fire fights and had conducted over 100 combat raids.

I moved to an area where I thought I could see what was happening better. I spun around. I didn't do this on my own. I was facing in the opposite direction and thought that I had been hit by a piece of brick from the exploding house surrounding me. I looked down. There was a hole in my arm. I tied my arm at the shoulder to prevent blood from escaping and moved to the window. I called for the corpsman to let them know that I was shot. The bullet went cleanly through my forearm. I tucked muscle and flesh back into my body. Very strange feeling.

My platoon sergeant moved into an area that was more secure. I denied morphine. I knew that I wanted to walk out of the house under my own power. I thought about my daughter. She was 2 at the time. Will I ever be able to hold her again? If I do, will I have my arm? Would she rather have a deformed me at her high school graduation or would she love me the way that I am?

Luckily, I made it to the hospital and got surgery in time. I did walk out to the helicopter under my own power. I did walk my dog there as well. I did hold my daughter with both arms. She isn't embarrassed of me and I still stand proud and say "God bless the USA." I watch football every Sunday. I watch baseball in the summer.

I drink beer every weekend and I do all of that while saying, "Fuck your terrorism, ya bish. You cant kill me, I'm Chaps McNealy."

On the first secret practice of the season, in order to keep within the rules of the NFL all offseason practices must be secret, Gus Bradley demonstrated what he was looking for in the players. Gus Bradley started off with a motivational speech. I have the transcript and will offer exclusive footage via words.

"GUYS! YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY! YOU HAVE THE CHANCE OF A LIFE TIME! WE ARE GONNA GET BETTER EVERY DAY! IF YOU LOVE THIS CITY, IT WILL LOVE YOU BACK! AND.....AND..... AND IF YOU FIGHT THIS BIG ASS BEAR, HE WILL FIGHT YOU BACK!"

GUS: BEAR! I AM IN YOU! YOU WILL NOT RIP THIS OPPORTUNITY FROM US!

BEAR: You are a first year head coach. People dont expect much from the Jaguars.

GUS: WHAT IS YOUR NAME, BEAR?

BEAR: My name is An../ slapped in the face by Gus

GUS: IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS.

GUS: LISTEN, BEAR! YOU DID YOUR JOB TODAY! YOU GOT YOUR ASS KICKED BY ME BUT YOU GOT BETTER! NOW LAY DOWN!

BEAR: I dont wanna lay down, Coach. Im not tired.

GUS: LAY DOWN OR YOU WILL GET IT AGAIN!

/lay down.

Gus: see, now isnt this nice?
