I am 15 years old and I live in the Twin Cities. My family shares season tickets with several other families, I go to about 25 games a year. I have always been a die hard Twins fan and it is my goal to work in the front office for the twins someday. I play reck league baseball because i am not very good but I love to play and be around the game.

Twinkie Town The Twins need infielder

The Twins need a new Third baseman. Nick Punto is an awesome fielder, he can pick anything that comes his way. But he can't hit to save his life. The acquisition of a player such as Adrian Beltre would increase our teams confidence, and excite twins fans. Clearly Beltre is an all-star caliber hitter. He averages over 20 home runs a year. He also won the NL MVP award in 2004, with 48 home runs, 121 RBI's and a .334 batting average. But what most people fail to realize is his underestimated fielding talent. Beltre has never had a Fielding% of less than .950 in his 12 year career, averaging only 17 errors a year. Beltre may be demanding more money than the Twins can offer him. If that is the case, maybe players such as Miguel Tejada, or Juan Uribe could be better fits, they are both all-star caliber players, but they will not get as much money as Beltre. I understand that these players do not play with the typical Twins style (piranha's, manufacturing runs), but I am personally more interested in winning a world series than keeping an image.

Twinkie Town Twins bullpen

R.A. Dickey and Matt Guirrer have become our two set-up guys this season. I think that if the twins could find a way to get another middle releaver they would give these two guys more break allowing them to be more fresh every time they come into a game. I also feel that this would keep our bullpen fresh for the playoffs if we make them...
This is completel disregarding our amazing coser Joe Nathan

Twinkie Town Freddy Sanchez

I was thinking about the Freddy Sanchez trade and I realized one reason that the twins might not want to trade for him. If the twins were to trade for Sanchez, they would have to pay him 8 million dollars a year. On the other hand, Alexi Casilla would only have to be paid 500,000 dollars. The 7.5 million dollars a year difference between Casilla and Sanchez could be the money offered to Morneau and Mauer allowing them to stay in Minnesota. And personally, I would rather have a 2(soon to be3) time batting champ and a former MVP on my team than Freddy Sanchez.

Twinkie Town Bill Smith/ Freddy Sanchez

Alltough I have been an avid fan of Bill Smith since he started i think that sometimes he needs to be a little more agressive and make a move.

The twins need to fill their middle infeild with a second baseman who will play every night and put up consintantly good numbers. Anyways, wouldn't it be worth it to trade a few prospects and a mediocre second baseman(Alexi Casilla) for an allstar secondbaseman who is currently batting .313 with 6 dingers and 28 RBI's(Freddy Sanchez)???
