Most of you probably don't care what I think, but here's something I was thinking about today: that we, as classy Sharks fans, should give Dany Heatley the benefit of the doubt in terms of his alleged lack of "character."  None of us have firsthand experience of Heatley being a douchebag or an asshole, so we should not expect that he automatically is one from the get go.  Instead, I feel that we as fans should give him the clean slate that he was looking for with this trade.  Instead of us thinking that he's a locker room cancer and shunning him as if he were, I feel that we should let the guy prove what kind of person he is once he gets here.  If he continues his "asshole" ways in San Jose, then it's fair to call him an asshole.  However, if he instead turns out to be a stand up guy in the locker room and in the city, then I think that should be our view of him.  I don't like judging people I've never met before, especially if I don't know all the circumstances that lead to others not liking him.  In essence, I will reserve judgment on Heatley's character until I get a chance to see how it plays out in San Jose.  Anyone else with me?
