This weeks SI power rankings

Of course the hawks are ranked down a bit, whatever, not why I posted this.

What I'm interested in is that the Redskins are ranked 10th. That is they're 2-1 and Jason Campbell is having a really quality season. He hasn't even thrown a pick yet. The Jim Zorn legacy might have a future.

"There was a moment I’ll never forget," Hasselbeck said. "We were struggling against Arizona and Coach Holmgren is trying to give the talk to the team at halftime, and Lofa basically was like, ‘Hey, I got this.’ He didn’t even know not to cut off the head coach, but he just started talking to the team.

"You have to realize that Mike - for years before Lofa showed up - had said ‘Defense, I’m looking for someone to step up and take charge.’ He probably was going to give the same talk. He didn’t even get the words out of his mouth, and Lofa’s like, ‘Listen, this is the deal and this is what I’m going to do, and you’re going to follow.’ And everybody’s like, ‘Right on dude. Where did this come from? Doesn’t he know he’s a rookie?’ He had this demeanor of I’ve been in this locker room before and been in big games before and this is how you deal with it."

http://www.seahawks.com/News/News.aspx?id=77510

Great story of the history of the Tatupus and the Hasselbecks.

As a Seahawk fan any edge that the Bills can gain on us this week is to be studied and dissected for weaknesses. This is one advantage that I can't figure out.

Read some of Lombardis stuff when you get a chance, he hasn't been writing for SI very long but his work never seems to be very congruent with the rest of sports reporting, he makes some good observations that surprise some until you really consider his points. I especially liked his piece on establishing the run early.

Sure, the seahawks are at 11, whatever, we could talk about all those medai drags we put up with. What I want to note is our devision rivals. 27, 28, 29 cards, niners, rams. That's pretty rough. Take a look at the list and tell me where YOU think they belong. I need eight more words, apparrently, for this.

I don't know how to unquote something but the third box is the real quote

Below is what Peter King from SI says about his season predictions that we're a part of...

• Offensive Player of the Year: 1. RB Adrian Peterson, Minnesota. 2. QB Tom Brady, New England. 3. QB Matt Hasselbeck, Seattle. I had Garrard higher in the MVP voting here by virtue of the Jags surpassing Indianapolis. Hasselbeck will have a 4,300-yard passing season.
