Kansas City Chiefs: Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford Right tackle Barry Richardson is a sieve in pass protection. Jared Gaither was foolishly waived (typical dumb Todd Haley move), so Kansas City will be looking for an upgrade at the position. This is an easy pick because Jonathan Martin is arguably the top player available. None of the other options really make sense either unless the Chiefs want to reach for a quarterback. Kansas City Chiefs: Alameda Ta'amu, NT, Washington If the Chiefs aren't confident in sixth-round rookie Jerrell Powe's progression, they could opt to select their nose tackle of the future in this spot. Kansas City Chiefs: Bernard Pierce, RB, Temple The Chiefs will need to find a complement for Jamaal Charles, who was already incapable of handling the workload before his torn ACL. Pick change; previously Andrew Datko, OT

Matt Cassel left the stadium wearing a cast on his right hand. Had index and middle fingers immobilized. Not good news for the #Chiefs QB.

Chargers CB Antoine Cason Replaced as the Starter, 2nd Round Pick Marcus Gilchrist Gets First Team Reps

10

Chargers fans are happy about this move, Gilchrist came in this year for Jammer and looked pretty good.(Charger fan described his play to be much like a young Jammer) Which means this is a bad thing for the Chiefs. This moves comes after Cason got burnt horribly for three touch downs in a loss to the Jets last week.

Why doesn't DJ cover Tight Ends?

Why doesn't DJ cover Tight Ends?

Its been bugging me, because I think he'd be good at it. Pretty sure its because of the scheme we run, but currently we don't really have anybody that can cover the best Tight Ends in the league at either Safety position or the other LB position.

CWP's 2012 Mock Draft

Blah blah blah Introduction

Most/Least Burned Cornerbacks

+

No not Flowers, the other Brandon made the list in the Top 5 losing out to Routt and Revis for the top spot. Flowers was actually 11th on the list. Dubid made a thread about guys who can make the proverbial "jump" to the elite, Brandon Carr may just be one of those guys.

For all you Draft Prospect Watchers out there

Flowers Gaining Recognition

+

On Yahoo Sports Doug Farrar lists Flowers as one of the ten most underrated players in the NFL. "Kansas City Chiefs DB Brandon Flowers(notes) – The Chiefs' defense has been a mess for the last few years; only endbacker Tamba Hali(notes) has been a consistent standout. But with the selection of safety Eric Berry(notes) in the first round this year, some real athleticism and game intelligence has found its way to Kansas City. Another player to watch is Flowers, who the Chiefs selected in the second round of the 2008 draft. While Flowers showed some impressive characteristics in his rookie season, he really matured in his second year. He tied with Cincinnati's Leon Hall(notes) for fifth in the NFL in passes defensed, and bumped his interception total from two to five. With Berry playing center field in that defensive backfield, Flowers' Pro Bowl potential may finally be unlocked." -Doug Farrar
