Why San Diego is out with a Denver win over Buffalo
Chiefs Withdrawl already setting in? Here are 8 NFL games to keep your eye on this weekend
If you're like me, every Sunday when the Chiefs play is essentially like Christmas morning. Unfortunately, these guys actually need a break during the season, and that break comes this week for our Chiefs. Fortunately, there are eight games we should be watching with interest this weekend that have implications (some more than others) for the rest of our season.

Have you ever seen the rain?
Someone told me long ago there's a calm before the storm; I know it's been comin for some time.
When it's over, so they say, it'll rain a sunny day - I know, shinin down like water!
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain coming down on a sunny day?
Having a Short Memory
To be successful in the NFL, you need to have a short memory - especially when it comes to negative plays. As fans, shouldn't we also be expected to react in this manner? At the end of the day, I hope we all come together as Chief's Fans and acknowledge our common bond.
There is only one thing for CERTAIN the 2010 Draft Class will fail to do
These players will not make me stop being a Chiefs fan. In fact, I believe several of them will bring in more! The NFL likes QBs like Phillip Rivers (douche he may be, great QB he is for real) who can exploit weak Secondaries. The game simply isn't Rocket Surgery. You will find yourself in Nickel formations frequently. Of course you need a pass rush, but the game is FAST - in the shallows as one poster here described it, is where your CBs BETTER do their job.
In other words, you need it all. We have been horrible for many years now, as a result of many factors. What comes around goes around, but it don't happen in one season after many failures.
As for the front seven, I am concerned no doubt, but my concern is with the team as a WHOLE; I fail to accept anything is certain when one play ends a career. I don't think they felt the individuals available as a NT in this draft were enough "bank for their buck" to wait at least another full season (and that's if the cream of the crop are stellar) when you have so many holes to fill.
FOUR games guys. FOUR. Also known as 5 this season is improvement. If it was even remotely easy to consistently cover every need on an NFL team, nobody would suck.
Chiefs Fan forever
Just a quick name reference from a poem:
For there shall fall the Mighty Ones
By valiant men adored--
Great Odin, Tyr the fearless,
And Frey that sold his sword.
And Thor shall slay the dragon
Whose breath shall be his bane.
Then refer to signature.
I apologize for being negative these past few days, but I believe we can turn things around. I will always support the team. Patience is a hard thing to come by for everyone.

A message to those not understanding the LJ debacle
The Chiefs are a very bad team. We pay good money to watch this very bad team (3 seasons in a row no less). We have plenty to be upset about, but as true fans, we keep a stiff upper lip and continue to support the TEAM we love.
Notice I said TEAM. Larry Johnson is the antithesis of team. He has failed us on and off the field for years now. Try to forget pouring salt in the wound by calling out the coach, something every member of this team could do; yet they don't. Try to forget the derogatory language he used, not to mention how the same language could have been turned on him in an instant; yet it wasn't.
What cannot, and should not be, forgiven in all of this, is the fact that he insisted on going on about all the money he makes, how fans making $5/hour have no valid input, and how fans have nothing to do with his paychecks.
Wow, I've shelled out nearly $1000 this season ALONE going to see one of the worst teams in the league, with one of the worst running games in the history of said league. He DARES to say I have nothing to do with his paycheck?
Every fan of the NFL should be up in arms over his comments. This is not the first time he's behaved this way. If the league as a whole doesn't step up here, it also will not be the last time. We deserve more, period.

Mike Richardson...
...is the worst player I have ever had the misfortune to see play. I took my son to his first game today (best part of the day). I consider myself to be very familiar with our depth chart, but by the 2nd time this guy got totally blown by, I started pleading with everyone around me if ANYONE could tell me who the hell the guys was. Nobody could. I regained my composure long enough to remember the program you get at the gate, and quickly looked him up.
I understand this is a team sport. I understand all our players could be doing a hell of a lot better. I also understand Haley makes very bad decisions every game. That said...
THIS GUY SINGLE-HANDEDLY LOST THIS GAME FOR US.
I can handle losing, and even having a losing season. How is a guy like this playing in the NFL, let alone for this team? While we trade Tyler and bring every WR in the country for a tryout, THIS GUY is still on the team? THIS GUY kept going on the field?
Simply amazing.
