I unfortunately live in Tulsa, OK which ironically shows more Colts and Chargers games than the Chiefs...... :-(

Chiefs not alone anymore- Bengals now share the record with the Chiefs for the most consecutive playoff appearances without a win.

Hey everyone, I know a lot of us live in Oklahoma, and I'm sure plenty live in or around Tulsa. Anyone know of any restaurants or bars where Chiefs fans congregate? Would love to meet you all and feel some Chiefs support in T-Town.

Funny enough as the article explains, Cleveland will never really catch a break.

This caught my eye this evening as I ate dinner and perused the internet for any football news.

New overtime rules for the playoffs. It looks like the boys have been looking this stuff over extensively and are prepared; Haley is cited multiple times in the article.

Now, if we could just get these overtime rules to bleed over into the regular season!

This is a pretty cool new feature the Chiefs page on facebook just posted. Create your own Chiefs watch party, anywhere in the world!

I already created one for the Tulsa area.

Interesting stuff from Schefter here. I think this is a very fair ranking from him. What are your thoughts?

Bad news for the dirt bags in silver and grey, but I guess stuff like this has come to be expected.

Just stumbled upon this. I'm really happy that they have Berry as an 85 already!

Hey guys, our last FanShot got buried, but anyone interested in doing an online franchise on Madden10 for 360, needs to search for the franchise name "Arrowhead" and the password is DT. Pretty easy right? My gamertag is Descartes24, and I am taking the high road and not taking the Chiefs :-(

Hopefully we can get things going soon!

Arrowhead Pride ME on the On-Demand Video!

I tweeted Josh Looney asking what was up with Zach Thomas, and apparently my question made it on the On-Demand  video!  That's pretty cool and I hope you all keep an eye out guys. I guess it's on the 8/11 video from the mothership.

Madden10_martin_560x90

I thought this was quite funny when I stumbled upon it today, that newly departed Chiefs QB, Ingle Martin is lowest rated QB in Madden 10. To be exact, he is the lowest rated player on the entire game, at 35 overall. It kinda goes without saying that I'm glad we got rid of this guy.

Arrowhead Pride Chiefs Interested in Tulsa QB David Johnson

I attend the University of Tulsa and I recently just finished my freshmen year, which was a pretty great one for TU football.  The quarterback at the helm was named David Johnson, and I'm sure you all are familiar with him, because I saw that in May, before I joined AP, Joel posted a story indicating the Chiefs were potentially interested in David Johnson.  Well, needless to say, Johnson is not at Riverfalls right now practicing with the team, but I have some interesting news and insight into this guy, and I still think he is on Pioli's radar.

I attended a few youth events in high school at the Church Johnson attends down the street from my house, and a few of my buddies and I got to know him.  My friend got to know him really well, and he texted me today telling me that he spoke with Johnson through text messaging this morning, and Johnson indicated that he is still training and that the Chiefs are more interested in him than the 49ers, Seahawks, and Vikes, and he is quite optimistic and hopeful.

This guy belongs in the NFL.  He is 6'3" 220, and has a cannon for an arm.  He lead the most powerful offense in the NCAA last year at TU and put up staggering numbers in 2008-2009: RATING: 178.69 CMP: 321 ATT: 400 % 64.54 YDS: 4000+ LNG: 97 TD: 46 INT: 18

Here is a nice game for Johnson; check out that 70+ yrd. throw!

Arrowhead Pride Quinten Lawrence- A look at Highlights

I was just wasting my life away on youtube this afternoon, when I decided to look up some film of Quinten Lawrence.  I realized that I never really took a look at the guy, and what I found was pretty phenomenal.  I don't know if I have seen guys this fast.  Pay attention to the first return for a showcase of his speed and at 1:34 for a display of speed and nice catch over the shoulder.

Quinten Lawrence #6 (via fbbuck31)

He really looks ridiculously fast, just covering the field, not even compared to the other guys.  It reminds me of how Dante Hall would run the whole field, but this guy's legs are longer, and in my opinion, he covers more ground, faster than Hall.

I would really love to see this guy on the field for us.  I think he has a lot to work on still (camp reports indicate his hands have not been great, and judging by that video, his route running ability is mediocre), but I feel like he could develop into a major threat that teams can't ignore, especially lined up in the slot or opposite of Bowe.

I'm rooting for him hardcore after seeing this film, and hopefully his talents and potential will quickly come to fruition.

Also, did anyone see that block around 8:00? That was a sick block...maybe we should pick that guy up to show LJ how to block for someone.

Arrowhead Pride Tyson Jackson = Predator"

Can we officially refer to Tyson Jackson as "Predator?"  What about "The Predator?"  He looks like it and could potentially be a beast on the field, so I purpose right here, right now on AP, that his nickname will be one of those two names.

Imagine if Jackson were in full pads in picture one for the picture comparison.  We would see something even more similar to picture two.

Predator-400x300_medium

via www.virginmedia.com- Predator= Tyson Jackson, little white man on his knees = Kyle Orton.

If need be, we can wait to see if his performance can back up a name like that, but still, it is pretty awesome and I'm hoping that his game will make it all the more fitting!

Arrowhead Pride Priest, on Zach Thomas, in the Star

I know it's old news, but frankly, I treasure Priest Holmes' time with the Chiefs, so I'm going to give a much deserved shout-out to good ole' Priest.

In my opinion, he was the star of the Chiefs when he was with the team, and when I was really just beginning to understand the game of football, I realized Priest Holmes was on top of the NFL world.  What has always stood out to me is his level of intelligence and how well-spoken and articulate he is, so it almost seems natural that he is looking at getting a job broadcasting, like Herm.  I know it has already been posted on, but we all know how great he will be at this.  You can check out the link HERE to the Star's report on Priest.  Note, in the slideshow is an interestingly ironic photo...

Priest owning Zach Thomas!

I would love to see the comments on that one guys.

We all knew how classy Priest is, especially with his sincere and ardent passion for his charity, and how hard he worked to come back and make the team after that frightening, nearly debilitating injury, but I was not aware of how truly good he was until I saw him on TV a few weeks ago.  I'm not sure if you all saw it, but Holmes was on a show on Spike called, "Pros vs. Joes" in which three guys that almost made it to the NFL compete against three former NFL stars, or ones looking for a job (see "Pacman Jones), in various drills.   I watched two episodes with Priest in it, and he is remarkably classy compared to the other five guys that were on the show with him.   Rich Gannon was pretty respectable, but he said some stupid stuff, but Priest let his game do the talking.  Needless to say, he still has it, and I was really surprised and impressed that everything looked so natural to him still, post-injury.  It was perfect that he was on the show with a moronic imbecile like Adam "Pacman" Jones who lacks an ounce of class or credibility, because it truly showcased how great of a guy Priest is.  He was gracious to his teammates and competitors alike, even though the rest of them were trying to trash talk and beat up on one another.

If anything, take some time out of your day and check out his charity .  He does a lot of work for it and he truly is a great ambassador for the Chiefs Nation, and AP.

Have a good weekend fellers.

Arrowhead Pride T-Pen Vs. Cassel

T-PEN

I really think Tyler Thigpen is the best QB on the roster. Consider this: Thigpen had to step into an incredibly difficult situation last year (we all know the story) and truly flourished. No, he did not put up incredible numbers, but he did put up very, very good numbers, without a top offense. All this happened as Matt Cassel put up slightly better numbers with all the targets in the world to throw to and a better offensive line and overall organization. How can you tell me that Thigpen is not as good as Cassel? Put Thigpin in the Patriots offense last year and I bet he would have lit it up.

The thing that really bothers me about this whole situation is that we traded away our best target in Tony G, and are putting an immobile quarterback into the offense. Even with Tony G, T-Pin still had to scramble his butt off (pretty effectively), but now Tony's gone, which will put Bowe in constant double coverage, leaving no targets for Cassel to throw to, and Cassel, without an effective scrambling ability, wont be able to pick up yards and TD's on the ground himself, like Thigpen can.

I feel that Thigpen would be more effective this year.

Any thoughts?

I really respect this platform and have appreciated your posts over the last few months.  I have been a Chiefs fan since I was three and have been one to this day (I am now nineteen...I guess it hasn't been quite as long as some).  I am new to Arrowhead Pride and subsequently, this is my first post...
