I'm 29 years old and a lifelong Chiefs fan. I have two beautiful baby girls that are 5 years old and a newborn. I have been married for 6 years to the most beautiful woman any man could ask for. I listen to classic rock, metal, and some country. I love to play the drums, write, and play video games.

Signature Stats Snapshot: Offensive Tackle Pass Blocking Efficiency

6

Branden Albert is tied for top 10 tackle in the league. He has given up 5 sacks, 5 hits, 12 hurries for 22 total pressures That might seem like a lot but the top tackle Joe Thomas has given up 19 total pressures.

Three To Focus On: Packers @ Chiefs

3

-Arenas is the primary slot cornerback in the Chiefs’ nickel defense and has been exceptional when he sees the field (+5.0 overall.) His 56.7 NFL QB rating on passes thrown into his coverage is best among Kansas City CBs and tied for 10th in the NFL. He has yet to allow a touchdown, and to top it off, has generated seven total QB pressures on a mere 18 pass rush attempts.

Week 15 Match-Up: Kansas City Chiefs vs Green Bay Packers

Alright, I've been busy during the holidays so I missed a couple of these match-ups. This week we face the undefeated Green Bay Packers. This is the Chiefs first game with interim coach Romeo...

Kansas City Chiefs: Inside linebacker Derrick Johnson leads the league in stops at 59 regardless of position.

Five Analysts, Five Questions

4
4) Biggest surprise this week? Neil: That Todd Haley lasted this long. Ever since the bizarre benching of their best player, Derrick Johnson, for a year ( a game? Maybe….just. A year? Stupidity) I’ve had concerns that Haley has been the personification of the arrogant "I know better" type coach. He’s had a load of great players but somehow doesn’t make best use. In 2010 Jamal Charles has 239 carries, Thomas, I’ll take whatever the line gives me but absolutely no more, Jones had 248. He gets Tony Moeaki and Matt Cassel injured in the 4th pre-season game when most self respecting starters are in civvies and even when he wins he loses. Somehow the Chiefs pick up Jared Gaither, a lazy but supremely talented player. They have problems on their line but Gaither is relegated to tight end duty in goal-line. A false start gets him fired after 26 snaps. I can still see Haley in my minds eye now saying "that will show him". Well actually no Todd, it really just showed how little you’ve done with talent as Gaither goes straight to starting for the Chargers and in two games ( 121 snaps) is still to give up a single pressure. Ouch!

I love this shirt :)

Kansas City Chiefs: Rookie defensive linemen Allen Bailey (221) typically takes some pass rushing plays, but recently has shown he deserves more. He has six pressures on 45 pass rushes in the past three games

Chiefs Defense!

Something that I was just looking up this morning. In our last 3 games our defense has given up 283.7 yards per game. That is good for 4th in the league (based on the last 3 games). The Chiefs'...

Re-Focused: Chiefs @ Bears

2

-On a day where malaise and mediocrity was in vogue, the one unit that really upped their game was the Chiefs’ linebackers. All four of their starters contributed in extremely positive ways and fueled the Chiefs’ stifling defensive display. -Kansas City’s 21 total QB pressures (combining sacks, hits and pressures) were their most since their playoff defeat to Baltimore in January when they recorded 22. -The lack of press that Derrick Johnson still receives is utterly baffling. Yet another fine performance for the Chiefs’ defensive star this week as he continues to state his case as the best inside linebacker in the AFC.

Jamaal Charles: What To Expect After An ACL Injury

It seems like a long time since we had a Pro Bowl, First-Team All-Pro in our backfield. I'm sure the Chiefs would have a better record and would be in all of the games this year. Instead, the...

Kansas City Chiefs: After having 59 snaps last year, running back Jackie Battle has proven his worth. He’s had 3.0 yards per carry after contact, which is just slightly lower than Jamaal Charles and his 3.1 last year.

Re-Drafting The 2008 NFL Draft: Glenn Dorsey

2
Key Stat: Has 50 combined sacks, hits, and hurries since entering the league. By comparison, Ndamukong Suh has 63 in two less seasons. Notes: Dorsey was meant to be the most surefire thing about the early round picks. Unfortunately, all the Chiefs have got is a solid player who doesn’t get much penetration as a pass rusher but can hold firm in the run game. Not what was advertised. Maybe he’s a square peg in a round hole in the Chiefs’ defense, but they got him rushing from a 3-technique position plenty in 2010 and he produced little. Disappointment. Re-Draft: The Chiefs acknowledged they had some pretty big problems at cornerback by selecting two in this draft. So with their fifth overall pick they select the best CB available, meaning Brandon Flowers remains a Chief, just with a far larger contract. Grade: C-
