scott leaving for a front office job, probably with the habs and Marc Bergevin.or perhaps the other shoe in the halak trade finally fell??
Not to be outdone by that Amway+ Red WIng union of superlatives
THe Blues just made me a member of their own club! yea me!
And with the 30th pick in the 2012 draft the Blues pick
NHL.com is trying to buzz the fact that the final central scouting report is done, but still not public
Real Skip card. They will also produce some that have more than Skip's foot.
Trivia answer hunting led me to this. The pregame of the last ever hockey game played in the barn. (toronto due up, and didn't our teams have the greatest buildings ever a long long time ago?) History isnt always as happy as we would like it to be though as this seems like a dire situation for a last ever NHL game. at least JD is there.
Hull vs. Shanny
lots of people liked Hull for saing what he thought, I always like shanny for not thinking while he talked :)
Avery same sex, same Avery
i don't really care where you fall on the topic in general, when Avery claimed to follow the golden rule i threw up a bit in my mouth.
oh its espn expect an ad first.
google searching bob plager slapshot does not get a picture of Reg's apartment sadly. OR Bob taking a slap shot, but did lead me to this. Young Bob Old Tyme hockey.
recycling old jokes
how the checkz stole hockey by dr. sue us
Every Bluu
Down in Bluu-ville
Liked hockey a lot...
But the Checkz,
Who lived Southwest of Bluu-ville,
Did NOT!
The Checkz hated hockey! The whole hockey season!
Now, please don't ask why. No one quite knows the reason.
It could be that he thought basketball was right.
It could be perhaps that his leadership was a fright.
But I think that the most likely reason of all
may have been that his wallet was two sizes too small.
But,
Whatever the reason,
Towerbrook or round twos,
He stood there on hockey night, hating the Bluus,
Staring down from his box with a sour, Checky frown
At the goal lighted glow for the visiting town.
For he knew every Bluu down in Bluu-ville beneath
Was busy now, watching in great disbelief.

If the playoffs started today, Blues alumni rooting guide
Any player who suited up in the note and currently is on, or belongs to, another team will be listed.
umm Joe Micheletti. on the right by the way,
caption ideas anyone?
avs trivia
Wires get crossed. Shit happens. Life is a box of chocolates. as a result I don't think this trivia is making it in print, so have fun doing it here during the period the blues take off tonight :) It's experation date is pretty much this week so use it or abuse it.
questions:
should be rolled out saturday!
i got a kiel garage pass so i might even be semi warn when i give it out not sure
however i have been warned the face will fill in, so we going to run a test then, talk about options.
the abdelkader's most notorious goal celebration on st. louis ice..
let's hope it always remains so.
act shocked if you do the trivia
the captain is dead.
back in the day to be a fan his, or the residents, or the like, meant cruising backalley record shops. now what passes as underground music shows up at itunes
st. louis history on sale
16 hours left. most local news sites mentioned it, but here is the auction. "make offer button" sounds fun
Selke Trauma
The Selke is broken. Sean needs our help fixing it. While statistics are what will likely win the day for Jay, I firmly believe that while figures don’t lie, liars figure. The lack of clear quantitative and agreed upon numbers to define the greatest of the great defensive players will require we also look at the history and intent of the award to properly determine the type of individual who should be considered a Selke finalist. Hopefully others will take up the numbers game and in doing so show Jay deserves national credit for mastering a misunderstood role.
finger flickin good.
not simulated sex good perhaps. but good in its own special way
puzzle test
testing formatting and ease of puzzle. this is a basic game where you select one group of letters from each column to create the first and last name of a blues' head coach. there are 10 total coaches.
ducks 3rd possible design
site linkage here
a rec to johnny mac's sporting goods
the Sean party involved someone here (whom i must not name) who does some linkage (but i'm still not going to name him) screwing with my mind about an old skool french canadian blues commercial. I've falled at trackage of the commerical in question especially the version with marc "thow the puck in my own net" bergevin singing 'bad boys' inna cop uniform
I even decided to email the usual suspect, Johnny macs as they are the elite local sporting goods store and a place I've had nothing but the best service from the few times i have shopped there. their respose after the bump
puzzling evidence
I could use a little help and input.
First off- If anyone has excel, access or sun's version of usable puzzle blanks (especially a 17 x 17 grid that it would be easy to black out squares and/or number them) please let me know, also let me know if these are too easy or too hard.
And other puzzle forms you might like to see. (logic puzzles are pretty much excluded i think. Not cos i couldn't do one and/or make it fun, but the explaination and solving grid is pretty space prohibitive)
first puzzle attempt after break. input needed. this would be, imho, do-able so if it flies (pun intended) act shocked when yout see it print.
hope to have a double scrabble up in a reply later today, as a test as well
pre-Jarmo, all firsts were the same ---HAWKS TRADE
at least that seems to be Q's feelings (and he may know) as the hawks swap blues' 1st rounders
free agents eve
a) im sick
b) this is a lot longer than i remember the poem being
'Twas the night of free agency and all through the league
the gm's were a-dozing with post draft-day fatique
The contracts were written by the lawyers with care,
In hopes that a big name signature soon would be there;
The fans were nestled all snug in their sweaters,
With visions of ways their team would surely get better;
And armstrong aphone, and pleau on the go
Had just gotten ready to go on with the show
When out on twitter there arose such a tweet,
I sprang from the bed to sit down in my seat
i'm guessing an old timers game, but anyone have any clue who wore it and when? had the "a" at one time...
oh it's on ebay at the sec

not as color as random letters but the result of a ransom note generator. meh
Local Blues' Investment Possibilities
a list of potential local interests with the downside preventing them from being immediately embraced by the Checketts group
The Alumni Playoff Rooting Guide: Round Three
Former Note-wearers and their stats through round two of the playoffs. In the west, the number of former Blues seeing icetime has dwindled down to zero. Pronger still rules the east while Wideman led all Bruins in playoff scoring. Brent Johnson, Ryan Johnson and Trent Whitfield finally saw ice time last round, but all three are now out of the playoffs.
