Well, they might have some competition. Word on the street is Garrett Anderson will be wearing the green and yellow (and white shoes) of the Oakland A's.

Tough to imagine GA in another uniform besides the Halos, especially the not-so "El Guapo" uniforms of the A's.

It's slow, here, however, there has been some action in the soccer world.

Cal State Dominguez Hills won their 2nd Men's Division II Soccer National Championship this afternoon. The Toros defeated defeated Dowling University 3-0.The game was really never in question and was highlighted by some fantastic goals.

Congratulations to the Toros players and coaching staff, and their fans, family, and alumni.

Why is Mo Vaughn number 53 in the top 100 all-time Halos? I remember when the list was compiled but don't remember the explanation for that tub o' goo. There are some other names behind him that certainly seem more credible than Mo. Will the list be re-done anytime soon?

I watched Raging Bull yesterday.

Imagine if the Halos had their full rotation. Baseball Tonight is terrible. I don't like it. No insight, jsut a lot of speculation that more often is wrong than accurate.

Why do baseball players always add "y" when referring to their teammates: Shieldsy, Escy, Ersty, Revvy, Cupiey, Yeswecany, Kotchy and so on.

"Secondary lead" is spewed from Gubicza's mouth more than any other phrase. 5 times in one inning?

Did the Halos wear "throwback" uni's this season? They should wear them a lot more, the ones that Wally, F. Lynn, Downing, and Pettis wore.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

When are we going to see a panther in a shampoo commercial? The panther has become overhyped and overused.

It used to have real meaning. Now if Willits gets a single, that's "panther." Oh my, Lackey struck a batter out, that's "panther."

This team is just doing their job. The panther should remain legend.
