Been a fan since I moved to Denver from upstate New York, when I watched the Broncos play the Chiefs on Monday Night Football in Montana's last season. I actually found this site while surfing the web for 2009 mock drafts and have been hooked ever since!

Mile High Report Bill Walsh's NFL draft philosophy and how it might change your mind of this years draft

I understand that no draft will please every fan, yet every fan seems to be an armchair GM leading up to, during and immediately after every draft. Players and teams are judged and graded before a single down is played, and as Brian Billick stated during the NFL Networks coverage, it is completely unfair.

So here is an article written by Michael Lombardi in reference to Bill Walsh and his strategy as it relates to the draft. Doc Bear did a great piece on it over on IAOFM a while back, and I feel with some of the qualms people have regarding this year and maybe the last few years, it would be good to take another look.

Mile High Report Broncos TC videos from DB.com

All of the links are to videos on DB.com, interesting to watch and a bit enlightening.

Figured I would link these all in one place, seeing as I was going to post more than one and did not want flood the Fanshots with em.

In this clip titled Sounds from Training Camp from DenverBroncos.com, we get an on the field perspective of the action.  I remember reading in the comments section about Tebow hanging Britt Davis out to dry with a pass over the middle, which was recorded at 2:24 seconds in.  We even get a chance not only to hear the HORN made famous by KK, but the ReadyGO!  Interesting watch, feels good seeing our team getting some hitting in!

Mile High Report Much to my Surprise (and many others)

First off... I hate the new Thursday night prime time slot (but that is because I could not find a reasonable excuse to take the day off work and I work nights, DOH!)

Since I could only see snippets while at work, I was excited when I saw had traded back, and figured we were poised to take Pouncy or Iupati, something I related to coworkers like a giddy schoolgirl.  After getting back to work in baited anticipation to see Pouncy holding a Broncos jersey, I was surprised to hear a coworker state that we traded back AGAIN to 24.  I was intrigued to see how this would play out, but at the same time a bit nervous... Will Pouncy still be available?  Does McD really think that Iupati will fall that far?  Thankfully I did not have to wait long to figure out the answers to those two questions.

Mile High Report My take: Time of Possesion

I must first start by saying that I was just as frustrated as anyone by play clock management.  Also, making a fanpost is a pain in the arse, and in doing so, I remember why I have not in the past, haha.  Anyway, three time outs in the first half was agonizing, and might have attributed to what we witnessed on 4th and goal (though I find myself not entirely upset at the left handed jump hook).

That being said, time of possession was a bright spot in an otherwise descent game by the first string offense.  In all, we had three drives of 5 minutes or more, though only two that led to scores and only two by the first team offense.  What gets me excited though, is the prospect of long scoring drives that devour the clock, here is break down of one of those drives, though not a scoring drive (info from NFL.com):

I especially love the Raiders pick, Glandor still makes me laugh.

I hope this does not go against MHR rules, seeing as how this is my first post, I do not want to offend anyone, so please, only click the link if you want to enjoy a funny Mock Draft with no basis in reality.
