My name is Chris Shanks and I am from Belfast, Ireland. I have tried to be a fan of other sports and in ways I am. MMA appeals to me more than any other sport possibly could. There is something about combat that is pure and this is the draw for me.
I'll admit that I was a casual fan of the sport for a long time. However at the start of 2009 I became more of a hardcore fan and started to read up on the history of MMA. It is amazing to me that MMA has went through so much development in such a short period of time.
