Go West: A Population Driven Expansion Plan for the Big 12

Here is my preliminary submission for the official tTSTC seal. My uncle owns an embroidery business and so I am going to get a banner made for the OU game. I either want to make it a tTSTC one, or a BOTC one. Please submit ideas, and rec the ones you like the best. I will make the one that gets the most recs.

Missouri Moves Closer to Joining SEC

From the New York Times, so more credible than a tweet. However, it is still using unnamed "sources" and the article is full of speculation as opposed to facts. Don't know how serious we should take this.

This has to be a blow to their chances at winning another Big 12 title, don't you think?

Well, that was cathartic.  I was convinced leading up to this game it would be part two of the 2010 Nebraska game.  K-State came in with 4-0 start looking to prove themselves and enact vengeance...

Week 5 Hotel California Conference Power Rankings

GTCat gets question answered by David Ubben

1

BOTCs own GTCat gets a question off to David Ubben at ESPN about what Big 12 player has the best chance on getting on the next NCAA cover. He gives a nice shout-out to Bryce Brown.

Can your defense stop explosive offenses?

10

ESPN Big 12 blogger David Ubben had this nice little post a few days ago about how important offense is in winning the Big 12. I don't have too much problem with Ubben, but his posts tend to usually be a little light on the analysis side, and he usually just re-posts stories you could find anywhere else. This however was a pretty interesting one, and it was interesting to see that KSU, in a surprise to everyone I'm sure, ranked dead last in the number of big plays they gave up on defense last year with 69, +8 on the next worse offender Oklahoma. Unfortunately, our offense was unable to make-up for the lack of defensive effort, unlike Oklahoma, and as such we were also second to last in differential (-12), just ahead of 'ol KU (-18) and tied with Texas. Oklahoma finished (+15). Looking back, it is a wonder we won as many games as we did.

TMQ thinks KSU got hosed by the mob

5

I generally like TMQ, though he can be a bit pretentious at times. Either way he unequivocally has our backs on "The Salute" and opines that Hilburn didn't even "technically" violate the wording of the ruling. I have to say, I agree with him. The wording does not state that bringing attention to yourself is against the rules, only the manner in which you do it. Hilburn did not violate the rule.
