Born in the months following the golden summer of Italia '90, I should have known that football would soon take over my life.

Six years later, I discovered Sunderland AFC, and a battered and bruised relationship remains in tact to this day.

I've recently completed a History and Politics degree at the University of Warwick and, unable to quite wrangle myself a full-time position just yet (damn economy), I spend much of my time contributing to various web sites - usually on football.

I've been involved with Roker Report for almost two years now, and its been a privilege to be part of a site that has fast grown into one of the most respected for Sunderland AFC news and opinion.

If you wish to follow my inane ramblings on Twitter, you can find me here: @christoph_21
