Lookout Landing Another Movie!

Hey, you might remember me from 2009 as the guy who made a movie called "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" that was inspired by LL to use the Felix Day song (Sunshine Lollipops) in the movie soundtrack. Well, after 2 and a half years, I made another movie coming out this weekend called "21 Jump Street." I know, another TV show reboot. You're inherently skeptical. But it's actually good. It has 85% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, including positive reviews from Seattle Times, LA Times, NY Times, USA Today, EW, TIME, Roger Ebert, Wall St Journal, Chicago Tribune, and more. There are a few Seattle-area nods in the film, including one of the rival high schools being Garfield. But no LL-inspired details this time. Still, if you like enjoyable movies, please go see it this weekend! And buy yourself a couple extra tickets so you can put your feet up and stretch out! It has a Chris Miller "Actually Not Terrible" guarantee!

Thanks,

Chris Miller

Lookout Landing Jeff, you inspired me

In addition to being a regular LL reader and long-suffering Mariners fan, I also co-wrote and directed the upcoming movie "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs."  At one point in the movie, we needed an ironically positive food-themed song for a montage about people obliviously and happily consuming to excess.  I instantly thought of the joy I feel on Felix Day and it was clear the song needed to be the 1965 Lesley Gore hit "Sunshine and Lollipops."  So if you go see the movie (and you should, this Friday September 18th, in 3-D), know that Lookout Landing was our muse.  Also, Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Bruce Campbell, Andy Samberg, Neil Patrick Harris and Mr. Freaking T are in it, so I guarantee you will be entertained.
