The loss still hurts. But all the Steeler fans I know acknowledge that the Packers deserved to win. I think we see a lot of ourselves in Packer Nation.

For those of you who think King is a Steeler-hater, check out the first letter in his mailbag today. He couldn't have been any clearer about how he thinks the League mishandled the Seymour slug.

Behind the Steel Curtain Merry Christmas, Steeler Fans!

Yes, it COULD be worse.  They could have strung it out until the final game of the season and lost in OT to Miami.  This way at least you have a whole Christmas season where you don't have to struggle with the decision whether to watch the Steelers or go shopping.  By all means, go shopping this Thursday -- worst thing that could happen is that you miss an OT comeback against THE CLEVELAND BROWNS.  Then go shopping again on the 30th.  What's more important -- that sweater you need to buy for Aunt Myrtle or watching the Steelers lose a heartbreaker to Green Bay?  Go ahead and watch the Ravens game on the 27th because the only saving grace of the season will be in the possibility of knocking the Ravens out of the playoffs.

I am amazed at the ability of the Steelers to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, again and again and again.

Behind the Steel Curtain New Castle & the Immaculate Reception

Trying to settle a bet here.  A friend of mine swears that he watched the Immaculate Reception live on TV while visiting family in New Castle, PA.  I distinctly remember listening to it on the radio in my own home town in Western PA because all Steeler home games at that time (1972) were blacked out in the Pittsburgh area.  Could he have been watching it on a Cleveland station there or is my recollection (I was 12 at the time) faulty?
