Brent Chuck Oliver and Matt Chernof in atlanta are reporting that there is a potential storm brewing with one of our assistant coaches and that he will be fired by spring practice. I am getting rather tired of the daily hot mess we are involved in. I had friends in LA tell me this would be bad, they are starting to look correct.

It seems as though recruitng season never ends. As we crank up for National Signing Day on the football side, let's not forget our hoops brethren and the remaining stars on the board. FanU brings you the big names on the Big Board. Big names like John Wall, Lance Stephenson, and Renardo Sidney are attracting plenty of coaches in gyms across the country. With the Big East season in full gear, I thought it was time to rank all 16 teams in the conference, from top to bottom. Just a note that this is who I think are the best teams in the league, in order – not necessarily who has the best records, or rankings.

I’ll probably do this every week, starting with this one.

1. Louisville Cardinals
Record – 14-3, 5-0 in Big East
Analysis – Call me a homer if you want, but the Cards are rolling right now. And they’re one of just two teams with a perfect record in league play. Wins over Pitt and Notre Dame at home and Villanova on the road show this team is for real.

The Big East is a tough road, game after game. In hoops that is; much like the travels during the fall in the SEC. Last night a good Syracuse squad traveled to the home of former No. 1 team in the nation, Pittsburgh. Monday evening the Panthers played like the top team in the nation. They hardly resembled the team that was voted down in the rankings after last weeks loss in Louisville. Louisville is 4-0 in the Big East, but they have to travel to Syracuse to play in front of 30,000 screaming orange-clad fans in the Carrier Dome. The Dome is a true home court advantage.
