Had We Traded Down
Look dont get me wrong i am so pulling for our picks to blow up but do you guys realize had we made an offer to the jets with our 7th pick for their 17th and 52nd pick i'm sure they would have much rather traded with us cuz they wouldnt have had to trade Abram Elam, Kenyon Coleman, and Brett Ratliff. If this would have happened we could have been the ones to trade with the Eagles for their 19th and 195th picks, and then been the ones to trade with the Ravens for their 21st and199th picks. So basically we would have had DHB with pick 21(and yes he would have been there at 21 i dont care what anyone says) and picks 52, 195, and 199 on top of that which would have been huge.
so combine that scenario with what we did in the rest of the draft our draft order would have looked like this:
#21. Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland
#47. Michael Mitchell, S, Ohio
#52. Jaron Gilbert, DT, San Jose State
#71. Matt Shaugnessy, DE, Wisconsin (personally here i would had traded a couple spots and tooken Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech)
#124. Louis Murphy, WR, Florida
#126. Slade Norris, OLB, Oregon State
#191. Aquired from Eagles
#195. Aquired from Ravens
#199. Stryker Sulak, DE, Missouri
#202. Brandon Myers, TE, Iowa
well like always this is my opinion, but i like to hear what y'all think about this cuz really we would have had the same exact picks and then some even though i dont agree with some of the picks.

This would be HUGE.
The Detroit Lions need alot of help they are not sure wether or not to go Defense or QB. I say why not have your cake and eat it too. What i mean is if the Raiders would trade Their 7th pick to the Lions, then the lions could go Curry 1st pick and still have a shot at Stafford at pick 7 if not Sanchez for sure either way its a Win Win for the Lions.
I Know your probably thinking this guy is an idiot, well am I? Lets see, If the Raiders were to do this they can get Detroit's 1st, 2nd,and one of their 3rd round picks. This seems reasonable considering they are only giving up their right to draft in the 2nd round and they have two 3rd round picks so they can afford to give up one. This would be a great solution for both teams Draft wise and everyone wins
So to break it down Here is what the Outcome would look like.
Detroit Lions Summary
CONS: They lose their 2nd rounder and one of their 3rd round picks.
PROS: They would get 2 top ten picks in the draft and make out looking good with the fans of Detroit after coming off a 0-16 season this would make them look like they are trying to make up for such an embaressment and give them a franchise Qb and LB to build their Offense and Defense around.
Draft Picks: 6
Order: 1, 7, 82, 174, 192, and 255
Oakland Raiders Summary
CONS: We lose the 7th pick and the chance to Draft Crabtree or Orakpo.
PROS: We get 2 more picks in the top 75, enabling us to Address a total of 5 positions with Players from the top 75 category preferably addressing the Defense and being able to stop the run for once. this would also make Al Davis look like a genius and give him some credibilty and overlook some of the mistakes made in the past.
Draft Picks: 7
Order: 20, 33, 40, 65, 71, 126, and 216
And finally my opinion on who we should get with these picks:
#20. Rey Maluaga, ILB , USC
#33. Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech
#40. Evander Hood, DT, Missouri
#65. Ramses Barden, WR, Cal Poly-SLO
#71. Patrick Chung, SS, Oregon / *Chip Vaughn, SS, Wake Forest
#126. Shawn Nelson, TE, Southern Miss
#216. Would like to package this pick with Andrew Walter for somebody's 4th round pick and take Troy Kropog, OT, Tulane.
* Indicates alternate if first person listed is not there.
So there you have it this is our best trade down scenario, and is what i would like to have happen. Give me your opinions wether you think i'm insane or agree with me. Thank you all very much.

Sleeper Pick No More, Ramses Oakland Bound in 2nd Round.
Now more than anything i hope we get Orakpo at #7 cuz you can bet the farm Raiders are getting Ramses at #40nif there is no crabs availiable. finally i have the back up of Bill williamson an AFC West Columnist for ESPN Stating in his Blog that ,
"The Oakland Raiders are closely studying Cal Poly receiver Ramses Barden. He will likely be a second-round pick. If the Raiders don't take a receiver in the first round, he could be the target with their second pick. Barden has been compared to Keyshawn Johnson".
Here is the article i found through the link in his blog:
Will Raiders crown Ramses?
A large contingent of Raiders officials, including at least three scouts, attended USC's much-anticipated (and attended) Pro Day on Wednesday. They very well may have been paying as much attention to the non-Trojan on site as anyone from USC itself.
Cal Poly wide receiver Ramses Barden, who is training in Southern California, swung by to be one of the receivers to run routes during quarterback Mark Sanchez's passing drills. As it turns out, the Raiders are huge on the 6-foot-6 receiver from John Madden U and could take him with their second-round pick in the April 25-26 draft.
"Gotta help him out, give him some moral support, a high-five after a nice throw," Barden said by phone about teaming up with Sanchez in front of the scouts.
Barden wanted to take part in the actual workouts but the Pac-10 did not allow it. He worked out in front of scouts two weeks ago at the San Jose State Pro Day, very likely cementing his place as a second-round pick -- and certainly no later than the third round -- with a 4.48 time in the 40.
Barden had a private interview with the Raiders at his Pro Day workout. He declined to give details, but The Chronicle has confirmed he has been in contact with Raiders wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal several times now.
The Raiders also recently contacted his college coach to find out more about the small-school standout. They interviewed him at the Senior Bowl. They interviewed him at the NFL Combine. A far as due diligence goes, they're all over it.
If they want Barden, they'll most likely have to use their eighth overall pick of the second round. The only way they do that is if they don't draft a wide receiver like Texas Tech's Michael Crabtree or Missouri's Jeremy Maclin in the first round.
(Maybe they call them mock drafts so people like me can be mocked if we guess wrong, huh?)
They need a big receiver, and Barden is certainly big at 6-foot-6. He's 229 pounds with room to muscle up. He set an NCAA record with 20 straight games with a touchdown catch. He reminds some of two other tall AFC West receivers: Broncos Pro Bowler Brandon Marshall and the Chargers' Vincent Jackson.
They could hope Barden makes it to the third, but this is a kid who's interviewed with Bill Parcells of the Dolphins. He's not exactly a secret anymore.
Barden did say this about the Raiders and quarterback JaMarcus Russell:
"He can make all the throws. He's a talented guy, you know? I'd love to be part of any team I can help turn around."
** Speaking of wide receivers, the Raiders had a formal interview with Penn State wide receiver Derrick Williams at the Combine, according to Scout.com.
So yeah, wide receiver is clearly a priority, even with the return of Chaz Schilens, Johnnie Lee Higgins and Javon Walker. This explains why they've done nothing in free agency to replace the departed likes of Ronald Curry, Drew Carter and Ashley Lelie.
Ok also found the Best Ramses Barden Highlight Reel Through this article as well please click on it and check it out it will show you non believers whats up.

it just sucks he has gotten so much attention that we now have no choice but to take him in the 2nd. round.

Who is Ramses Barden? Hopefully the Raiders 3rd Round sleeper pick that's who.
Who is Ramses Barden?
Well, only a 6'6 Wide Receiver weighing in at 227 lbs. who posted forty times of 4.48 and 4.54 at his Pro Day, which was an improvement on his 4.58 Combine time, which was already impressive for a player of his size. Barden also posted a
10-foot 2-inch broad jump and ran a 7.10 three-cone in addition to catching the ball like Fitzgerald in drills.
No wideout in the draft has longer arms @ 34 1/2 inches or bigger hands.
Barden's catcher's mitts measure in at nearly 11 inches. This guy is a great interview and has the personality of one Nnamdi Asomugha on and off the field.
Here are his Stats at Cal Poly-SLO
YEAR REC YDS AVG LNG TD
2005 40 655 16.4 0 9
2006 42 824 19.6 0 5
2007 57 1,467 25.7 62 18
2008 67 1,257 18.8 67 18
Career 206 4,203 20.4 64 50
Yeah ,yeah, I hear you all saying, "But that was Cal Poly-SLO not a big name school", well neither are Central Florida, Hofstra, Alcorn, and Chattanooga. Don't believe me just ask Brandon Marshall, Marques Colston, Donald Driver, and a guy by the name of Terrell Owens. You have to admit this guy is a beast, a hidden gem in my opinion it would be a shame if we didnt get this guy. His is THE #1 sleeper in my opinion and could be a clone of Calvin Johnson.
So if you're thinking to yourselves, " Yeah but he is not a 1st rounder he cant be all that great", let me tell you neither were these guys and they turned out ok.
Chad Johnson Rd.2
Anquan Boldin Rd.2
Greg Jennings Rd.2
Terrell Owens Rd.3
Steve Smith Rd.3
Laveranues Coles Rd.3
Brandon Marshall Rd.4
T.J. Houshmandzadeh Rd.7
Donald Driver Rd.7
Marques Colston Rd.7
Wes Welker Undrafted
Anyways, I think you guys get the point. All I am doing is trying to make my case and I think I have done that .
Is there anyone who agrees? If you dont, then, make a case of why not.
Personally, I say if we don't get Rak at #7, trade that pick to philly for #21 & #28 with those and our #40 we can get a top notch DT,DE,& LB and get the "Man of the Hour" Ramses Barden with pick #71. We can address the O line with the final picks #'s 126 & 216 and hopefully get on the ball so we can sign SS Roy Williams and WR Amani Toomer (He is good and would be a good mentor for our young receiving corp.) I dont see them costing much but who knows?
