So The Drought Is Ours

I'll be the first person to admit that I'm a relatively new fan to Manchester City, but jrwendelman asked for some history so I figured I'd give him an overview of my favourite historical match. I hope to gain some inside later on from my grandfather who was a friend of Bobby Johnstone, who sadly passed away last decade, about this match if he has any rememberance of it.
One would figure that a match featuring four goals, two half-time rows and one hundred thousand fans that one of those stories would be the one everybody remembered. Instead it was Manchester City goalkeeper, Bert Trautmann, who would be the story of the match due to some extraordinary circumstances.
With a heavy December schedule, the Leafs are making many of their morning skates optional. But yesterday only a handful of players – Ian White, Niklas Hagman, Phil Kessel, Matt Stajan and Mikhail Grabovski – took advantage of the chance to stay off the ice. "It drives me nuts that so many of them go out there," said Wilson. "I might have to make it not even an option."
I could honestly sit here and watch this all day. Should I be ashamed to admit that Stempniak is becoming one of my favourite players?

Vancouver Newspaper Crying About Burke Again
"It's one thing for Burke to make the comment in his war room. That's fair game. It's another entirely to allow it to air. And it wasn't buried in the piece. The comment was basically the opening item. It seems over the top, even for Burke. It would be low rent even if Burke knew for a fact the Canucks had made the offer. What makes this more bush league is that he wasn't involved in the supposed trade and he also admits "we don't know if it's true." In that case, he should have left it out of his special."
This is seriously the most pathetic fake outrage thing I've seen yet.

Phantasy Puck Scoring Categories

Well, Yahoo has opened access to Fantasy League so in due time I will let you guys know what division you're in and what the password is etc... First of all I need someone who would like to volunteer to be in Division II and run it as Commish. The other question we have to ask ourselves, what is the scoring categories we should use? I'm running another league that goes like this:
Goals, Assists, Points, Plus/Minus, PIM, PPP, GWG, Wins, GAA, Sv%, Shutouts
Let me know what you think. I would like to reduce the goalie categories for our comp.
Komikazi is looking good in that Blue and White. And he's already watching Vesa's back!

PPPPP Division Application

So Phantasy Puckers, as League signups have dried up it is time to sign up for your Division. It's goes by the list so if the first 20 people want in Division I then everybody below is SOL. Division I is money and daily-weekly roster changes. Division II, I'm not 100% sure. I think because of numbers it may be a mix. The people in it who want to play for money, can do so while not everyone has to. You also don't need to update your rosters frequently as there will be no bench spots.

Editor's Note: Thanks to Clawson for taking this on out of the goodness of his heart.
As discussed in FTB this 21st of July, 2009 I have somehow trapped myself into organizing the 2009/2010 PPPPP on Yahoo Sports. While we are currently unable to organize the League on Yahoo right now we can discuss what we want to do for it right now.
Things to Discuss
- How Many People In The League - Unlimited, will be set up with relegation and promotions between seasons
- How To Determine the Standings - Head to Head
- Scoring System
- Whether Not Drafting Luke Schenn Will Result In An Extremely Painful Death
- Etc, etc...
So depending on how many people are in, I may need to make some adjustments to how many players we use in each position. But if you're interested post in here and e-mail your info at theclawson@gmail.com so I can send you the League Info when I get it set up.

PANIC2.0: Ron Wilson May Be Tampering
Just so we can prove we can laugh at Leafs' fan as well. Watch hfboards flip out when they think there is a possibility Wilson may have been tampering with the Sedins. It's pretty high comedy.
