Penn State vs. Nebraska tickets
I know it is late notice and tickets are probably very scarce, but does anyone know of anywhere that I could find tickets for a reasonable price- around $80 and under? Any help is appreciated. I know like myself, everyone wants to be a part of this and everyone wants to support Joe during this rough time. The Penn State fan base and Penn State family needs to stick together. Like I said before, any help would be greatly appreciated.

While I was driving to school today, I was listening to the Tony Rizzo show. I heard them Talking about the possiblity of bringing back Thome. However, I didn't hear if this was based off an actual rumor or, simply their own opinions. I for one would love to see Thome back in Cleveland but, don't know if it is worth bringing in a 40 year old DH who would be yet another lefty in an already lefty heavy lineup. I was just curious if anyone else has heard this rumor and what your opinion is of it?
Shin Soo Choo's Millitary Obligation
I figured that somebody will probably post this eventually but it never came up so I decided to take it into my own hands. Friday, Choo will play for the Gold medal and a chance to be exempted from service.
There are several links that I will include that talk about Choo's domination of the games:

The Plain Squealer
According to Bill Livingston, Penn State was the Boise State and TCU of their day. He also suggest that Paterno's record 400 wins hasn't been acomplished by playng good teams. This is probably the worst week for me living in Ohio because the papers are always hating on PSU.
Hey everyone, I have recently taken an intrest in seeing what recruits from my high school class (2012) would be coming out of my area and i was wondering if anybody knew any names of guys being recruited from the Cleveland Ohio area and also how serious Penn State is about recruiting Tom Strobel from Mentor Ohio. Don't worry either, i absoulutely hate the Buckeyes in fact I plan on trying to get myself into PSU when the time comes even if it means going to a smaller branch.
This post may be irrelavent to many of the LGT followers however, due to the influx of trades in recent years, I decided to look at what could have been in a perfect world. The following roster and lineup are what the Tribe could have looked like had they been able to keep their players together. Understand that I realize this would have taken a lot of money as well as many of the free agents we signed would have never been part of the organization.

Possible Realignment of Divisions
I'm not asking anyone to predict the future but, where exactly would the Indians be placed with if this process was put into play? Does it go by geography or is it random?
Scary times face young Red Sox prospect.
I understand that most likely nobody on this site cares much for the Red Sox or their future players but you always have to feel for a young man at a time like this. I also can't remember, were the Indians trying to get him from the Red Sox in the Vic deal or am I thinking of something else.
It has been several weeks since I attempted to post something on this site but here it goes again. I, as you may know, am an avid, but young Indians fan. Like every young fan, I have made mistakes and upset people who don't need to be upset. I formally apologize to all those whom I may have flustered in my last 2 years of savage posting on this site. With my 16th birthday rapidly approaching, I have decided to turn over a new leaf and begin to accept what the intelligent minds of LGT have to offer and view it as strictly constructive criticism.
With that being said, I have been following the Indians since the day pitchers and catchers reported. I have to say that I have been excited about what I have seen so far:
Asdrubal Cabrera- .750 BA proves in my mind at least that last year wasn't just a fluke and he could be a thrill to have on this team as a cornerstone of a rebuilding process.
As a team, the Indians have an ERA, correct me if I am wrong, of 1.33. This is a reason for excitement simply due to the fact that the Indians haven't been praised about the Pitching Staff in months past as well as the good pitching is coming in the warm Arizona desert in which the baseball has a tendency to fly.
My final reason for excitement is based of the insight that Bruce Drennan provided today. He, like many other Cleveland fans is elated to see that the Indians have started well, one of the main things they could never accomplish under Wedge. He also believes that the lineup that the Indians are able to put out could prove to be one that could propel the Indians into contention as early as this year.
As I stated previously, I am sorry for the childish way that I acted before but I would like to start over and provide the insight that I can and get the CONSTRUCTIVE criticism that every young fan needs.
Victor Martinez wants to stay. Sound familiar?
I can't say that I am dissapointed only I will say that I would have liked to have seen Victor play in Cleveland again. A guy has to make a living though right?
Third Annual Academic Bowl Rankings
Penn State once again proves how elite of an academic program they have as they are ranked #1 in this years polls and are 13.0 points better than Standford.
Help Needed
I have created a blog on wordpress that consists of both Cleveland Sports and Penn State Sports. I understand most Penn State fans don't care about Cleveland Sports but, if you are intrested in writing articles pretaining to Penn State I am openly welcoming any help that i can reviece in keeping this blog up to date and full of good stories.
Thanks.

Sammy Sosa White?
I really don't care if you delete this but i thought that this was probably the strangest thing that has happened in professional sports this year.
An Acta Desperation?
An article written by Mike Stein on November 2nd, 2009.
Wedge leftovers would be eye-opening to Acta.
An article writen by Jim Ingraham that was in the News-Herald today that I thought was both comical and truthful to a point.
All-League List Released
The all-league list of 2009 from SAL and Carolina League.
The other day, my Brother told my Dad and me that one of his teachers thinks that the Cavs will win more games than the Indians did this year. At first i thought that this was an ridiculous statement however, as i thought about it, it began to seem like a major possibility. This got me wondering how many times this has happend in history where a cities NBA team wins more games than their MLB game. I haven't done any research on it yet but i decided before i do that I would ask LGT if they knew.
Byrd to migrate west?
Why don't the Indians try to resign Paul Byrd. He is a veteran who already is liked by the fans. He also has playoff experience. You also can't tell me you wouldn't want to have Byrd pitching the final out to clinch the Central over someone like Scott Lewis. Byrd would also be a pretty cheap pick up considering the fact that a star like Abreu only got 5 million. I just wanted to find out what you guys thought.
Hopeful
With the continuing success of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Browns firing of Romeo Crennel the Cleveland Indians are being overshadowed. However, the Tribe has finally shown that they want to be a winner by going out and making a few offseason moves without giving up anything in the process. At the start of the offseason I was a bit worried that Shapiro would just stay put and do nothing. I guess I should have had a little bit of faith in him. I also like the promising young talent we have in our farm system. They include Matt LaPorta, Wes Hodges, Adam Miller, Trevor Crowe, Luis Valbuena, Beau Mills, Carlos Santana, David Huff.... the list goes on. Now to get to my point. With all this offseason shopping is it still crucial for the Tribe to add a middle of the rotation pitcher and if so who is the Tribe looking at? My final question is why would the Indians want DeRosa and 3rd base when he played 2nd all of last year. Wouldn't Asdrubal make a better fit at SS that Peralta? So far this offseason i have seen two articles about the possible rebound of the Tribe. Although they aren't guaranteeing it it makes me excited for the possibility of another exciting ride aboard the Tribe Express.
Omar Vizquel in 09'?
I really don't know if this is something that the Indians even consider going into the offseason. However, I noticed that there is a guy named Omar Vizquel that will be a free agent. Do you think that Shapiro would ever bring Omar back (if he decided to play one more year). This would increase fan support, leadership, and maybe even bring back the magic of the 90's. I also think Omar would be fine with not playing on a daily basis, Like Trot Nixon did in 07'. Omar has meant so much to this city and it sure would be nice to see him in a Tribe uniform for his final year. Hasn't he even said he wants to finish his career in Cleveland. Does anyone agree with this?
