Anyone w/ half a brain and an IQ over 90 would have to recognize that the Clippers absolutely botched it this off season.   Clips management should have offered Rudy Gay the max money and not even meet with Lebron.  The whole Lebron/Clips meetings was just another attempt by Sterling to show that he was trying.   Taking Rudy Gay off Memphis would have crippled that team.  He is an absolute stud.  If Memphis would have matched any deal then I would have considered that a good faith effort from Sterling.   A meeting with Lebron (everyone and there mom knew he would not sign w/ the Clips was just a marketing ploy) was a joke.  EG, BD, Blake, Kaman and Gay would have cemented the Clips in next year playoffs.  Now here comes 41 wins IF everyone staying completely healthy.  Shame on Sterling for TRYING or lack there of it.  

When I saw the two thugs join Dwane Wade's team I though for sure Steve Novak would be the perfect fit in Miami and I was actually hoping they would sign him.  If he was on that team he would lead the league in 3 point shoot field goal percentages.  I always loved him on the Clips but too bad he could not guard anyone.  One thing I did agree w/ Dumbleavey is that he is a huge defensive liability.   However, in Miami the other defenders would make up for his liability.

After thinking about it I have come to the conclusion that the Clips this year are considerably worst than this year.   Going into preseason last year with a healthy Blake Griffin last year at least we had one of the most underrated players in the NBA, Marcus Camby.  This year instead of Marcus we have a lot of young rookies and Ryan Gomes/Randy Foye.  I would rather have Camby than both of those guys.  Great trade fro Camby MDR.

I read this today on sportsline.com.   Is their any substance behind his knee still bothering him?  Blake and EJ are the only hope we have.  

Loser: Blake Griffin. How do you lose if you don't even play? You're a Clipper. That's how. Griffin was held out of Summer League play despite playing last year prior to his season-ending injury. There's something to be said for holding Griffin out to make sure he's completely healthy. There's also a concern that the knee may still not be right, which has to absolutely terrify Clipper fans.

Does anyone know if Baron Davis is actually working out this summer or is he just vacationing?  Last summer I know he trained hard but I have heard nothing this summer.  After watching Bledsoe in the summer league I am glad they signed Randy Foye.  I really wish Baron Davis had the work ethic and love for the game that Blake Griffin has.  I have a feeling that Baron is going to show up to camp out of a shape and he will get injured early in the season. 

I wonder if the Clipper front office has explored this possiblity/scenario.   I know Larry Brown loves Baron Davis.  I know the Donald loves Chris Paul.   I think New Orleans is trying to unload salaries.  I know New Orleans likes their young point guard Collison.  Three way trade Baron plus a number one draft pick next year and a number one draft pick the following year from the Clippers to New Orleans for Chris Paul.  New Orleans then can trade Baron Davis for some picks and a salary guy to the Bobcats.

Just a thought but it makes sense.

Seriously, they did nothing.  Who cares if they needed to overpay.  They did nothing and I am really disappointed.  At a minimum I was expecting Josh Howard or Mike Miller.  Ryan Gomes is a good player but all the players above are better and will be better.   For crying out loud Portland waived Gomes. 

What a joke.

If there is a GOD out there please grant my one wish -  Clipper Management please do not sign Cat Mobley to a contract.   Do we really need a guy who shoots 42% from the floor, averages 3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2 turnovers a game and is a really small three?  Granted he is a descent defender but my goodness he was probably the most overrated Clipper of all time.  Everyone blames MDR for the Daniel Ewing mistake but Mr. Mobley managed to miss 2 layups and a 4 footer in overtime game 5 at Phoenix.  I do blame MDR for playing Cat over Corey in overtime and Game 6 in LA proved me right as Corey dominated and got us back to Phoenix for game 7.   CAT stay retired I really don't want to see any 3 for 9 games w/ 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist and 3 turnovers but wait when we are down by 20 you will eat up some scrub and end up going 5 for 11 w/ 4 WHOLE REBOUNDS.

I am just curious why everyone is so against the Clippers overpaying for Rudy Gay when we dont get James?

Blake Griffin recently stated that the team needs a tweener.  Rudy Gay is not injury prone, is long, rebounds well and is one the best shooting small forwards in the league.  His worth would be so valuable to give Blake and Kaman (The worst All Star since Jamal Mac.) space to operate in the paint.   Moreover, I would prefer him over Joe Johnson because of his age.
