Hey Gang,

Need your help writing to Santa this year for the Clips. I started some below for the team but I figure everyone can help contribute.

Dear Santa,

The crippling economy surely has put a strain on your factories in the North Pole as more families than ever are in need of your goodwill. In a sincere effort to give your elves a break from churning out toys I write today in the hope that you can help our beleaguered Clippers through well-placed gifts and thoughts that will bring joy and happiness to the few Clipper Nation Fans that remain. I've attached the wish-list of each player below.

For Chris Kaman, please send Chris some vitamin D supplements that can keep him focused, energized and healthy.

For Baron Davis, please send him a new electric razor and shaving cream.

For Marcus Camby, please send him some anti-aging cream and a broken clock so time will never catch up to him.

Clippers aren't listening to offers for Camby

Contending teams all want an extra big man, no matter how good they think their small-ball team is, because you'll eventually have to deal with the Lakers' array of 7-footers if you have any title aspirations.

That's why the Los Angeles Clippers continue to get calls with offers for veteran center Marcus Camby.

But the Clips, sources say, continue to tell those callers that Camby is off limits.

That stance unexpectedly appeared to loosen up at last February's trading deadline, when the Clips and San Antonio Spurs discussed a Camby deal, but the message we got this week from two well-placed sources is that L.A. is not willing to listen to proposals for Camby, who's in the final year of his contract at $9.2 million.

Especially with Blake Griffin not expected back until after Jan. 1.

I saw the poll on the Dodgers and Angels and I found it a little surprising that it was so even. I thought it would be more skewed towards the Dodgers due to LA geography but perhaps that was a false assumption. Therefore I'm now assuming we have a lot of fans in the OC area which would explain a lot. So out of curiosity (as well as research for future CN events) where does everyone here live?

The Spurs just made a huge trade for Richard Jefferson, it got me thinking that they are obviously in a win now mode with Manu and TD in the twilight of their careers.

How about us offering Marcus Camby to them for Roger Mason (potential glue guy), Matt Bonnar (another energy guy off the bench), their two second rounders (can draft some euro prospects or maybe one of the PGs who fell out of the 1st round or a Wayne Ellington/Danny Green type) and a future 1st rounder pick (maybe 2012 or 2013, the Spurs might be rebuilding by then). Both Mason and Bonnar's contracts expire this year so no harm done to our cap space.

Our front office values Kaman over Camby right now, which I think is the right move given their respective ages. I just noticed an opportunity for us to pick up some value future assets and a potential glue guy.

Decent article about the things we've discussed here. Mainly what we are going to do with all our bigs, what options we have and such. I thought the analysis of the pros and cons of each big man was well-reasoned.

Is anyone else psyched up for next year? I wasn't going to renew my season tickets but the team got lucky and sucked me back in by getting the 1st pick.
