Since it is now officially game day--this is in honor of our fearless leader.
Where Few Dare Tread
I made a decision to not shave this morning before the game. This is unusual for me, I'm a clean cut guy and no one likes a neck beard.
But following the victory, I now understand that the decision is entirely responsible. To commemorate this, I will be growing a "Victory Beard." I will not shave again until the Cougars lose. The brave are welcome to join me.
I realize we don't play for 3 weeks, which should only make it more glorious.
Why I love Washington State
As a football season filled with despair approaches its inglorious conclusion and dreams of March and a magical basketball season start to manifest-I thought it was time to reflect on what Cougar sports can mean in our lives. Four years ago, I sat down to make a decision about what university to attend. I was raised a Coug, I bleed crimson, I live and I die with the success and failures of Washington state athletics just like my father; nothing could take precedent over Cougar game days. If only choosing a school was as easy as rooting for one. After weighing academics, logistics, family concerns and all the other complexities that permeate our modern lives-I made a dread decision.
