NHLPA Rookie Showcase w/ Tedenby
His front teeth are still missing and his english got a tad bit better from his last interviews. its a short clip of him with other prospects, talking about something insignificant. but this is the most up to date look at our top high end prospect, even though he might notbe the first devil to crack the line up this year. im thinking he has a real nice shot if the nhl rejects kovys contract, but without a doubt since were thin right now on centers it's either henrique or josephson. i hope we see him opening day against dallas tho.
Something to cheer us all up!
Okay so we all know how amazing the NHL 2003 Entry Draft was. Infact it is arguably the best draft of all time, but without a doubt top three. It featured many of the superstars we see and cheer for today, incuding our pride and joy Mr. Devil, Zach Parise. Other names only in the first round mind you include: Eric Stall at #2, Thomas Vanek at #5, Getzalf at #19, Mike Richards at #24, and well... you get the point. Infact 29 out of the 30 players picked from that first round have gone on to at least make the NHL at some point, i dont know about you but that is just a completely insane number to fathom. 29/30 just never happens, its a good draft if more than a third of the players go on to long careers in the NHL.
So i did a little digging to find out a little more about that 1 person who still has yet to crack an NHL line up, and thanks to ol' reliable WIKI i was able to do that. His name is Hugh Jessiman, drafted in the first round, 12th overall, by the New York Rangers and is currently the only first round pick from 2003 to not play in an NHL game. The ONLY one to not play, how crazy is that, by the NYRangers mind you!!!
As soon as i found that out i was almost crying of laughter, i had to text my younger brother immediately and this was his response.
"Lmao...damn hahahahahahahahahahaha"
"Rangers suck hahahahaha"
Oh and come to think about it we were celebrating our last stanley cup that year also, talk about pouring salt in the wounds. But okay the fun is over........lets sign kovy, and make the moves necessary to get under the cap this year so we can win #4 in style baby. Looking forward to seeing you guys at the rock.
Okay I was never a fan of Seinfeld.....
but who is that guy who dresses up in that devils get up. He's like a super fan and goes nuts, i would love to see those episodes. If anyone knows the history on that or would like to post up a link of where we could see that guy in action that would be great. It'll be a great way to kill time during commercial intermission when were kicking the penguins A$$, thanks!
Tailgating
So with the new arena and all I was wondering how the tailgating is going to be affected by the lack of accesible parking to do so. I'm not a season ticket holder, but i do join my family in almost every home game. We were always the lasts ones to leave giants stadium around 12 to 1am after games if they didn't eventually kick us out. As most of you know tailgating is just one of those essential parts of the gameday experience. I wouldnt have went to as many games last year had it not been for the tailgating, not to mention the horrible season.
