Black Heart Gold Pants We owe it to MSU and the Big Ten

In my opinion we owe it to the Big Ten to beat Michigan St this weekend and prevent them from going undefeated and somehow making it into the MNC game.

All I can think about is them getting there and facing Oregon and just getting absolutely pounded, which will do nothing but eliminate the progress we made in the bowl games last year in restoring our reputations.  The only other worse thing that could happen is MSU would play Boise St and lose to them, validating their argument they belong when most believe they don't at all due to their cake walk of a schedule.

So really the Big Ten should all be rooting for Iowa, not just so they can get back into the Big Ten title hunt, but so we don't have to face another tOSU MNC embarassment.

Black Heart Gold Pants Student Ticket

I graduated from U of I three years ago, but still have my student ID because it can come in handy if I get a student ticket.  But now that I'm so far removed I've lost all my connections to getting them.  I know there are several current students on BHGP so I was just curious if I could find someone who could get a student ticket for me for the ISU game this year.  I have a bunch of buddies coming back to town that weekend that we are meeting up and I was just trying to find a relatively inexpensive way to get to the game.  I'm willing to pay around $50 so if someone can find one from some girl who has them but is totally uninterested in anything football and sells it for like $20, well then I'll give you the $30 on top of that.  Just curious if anyone can help, not sure where else to go to avoid the scalpers ridiculous prices.  E-mail me at tnutz24@gmail.com if you would have anything for me, and just reference Hawkeye tickets.

Sorry if stating the price willing to pay isn't kosher, and you can remove that if it's not and I'll beg the mercy of the court.

Arrowhead Pride Stampede Blue Community Mock Draft

We over at Stampede Blue are compiling a mock draft amongst some of our memebers, and I get the honor and pleasure of drafting for the Chiefs.  So, I'm reaching out to you, the true fans of the Chiefs, for help in drafting for them at #3.

Now in a lot of mock drafts I've seen, I see them taking Eugene Monroe as the best OT available, or even Aaron Curry if he gets this far.  I want to know what you think about these or any other viable options at #3.  I'll take any and all scenarios you can think of, in order to get the player that you think would most likely be taken on draft day.

I look forward to hearing your coments

Stampede Blue Curious about a few guys in the draft

I'm pretty new to SB, but from the short time I've been around I have learned that there's some people in here who have a lot more knowledge than me when it comes to not only our beloved Colts, but football in general.  As I sit at work bored out of my mind I just have a curiousity about a few guys in the draft and what some of you think about them and how you think they would fit into the Colts game plan(obviously a lot has to do with the new DC and scheme we run).  Now I've seen the debates on WR and DT in the 1st round picks but I'm more interested in the mid to late round picks

First of all I'm a big Hawkeye fan and I love Mitch King so my opinion is biased, but I think he would fit great into the Colts system as a DT.  I see a lot of sights listing him as a DE, and I know he's a bit undersized as far as a DT goes but I think he is a solid one at that.  In the 4 years I've watched him he's always been able to hold his own against much bigger guards and even penetrate and disrupt in the backfield by leading the Hawks in TFL and Sacks the last couple years.  I know in the T2 at least we don't have the biggest DTs, I mean Raheem Brock isn't your prototypical DT as far as the NFL goes, so I was curious how some of you think he measures up for our system as is.  I also think he could be taken in the 4th round or later which to me seems to be good value.

The other guys other guys I wanted to hear about would be Zach Fullett of Cal, and Dannell Ellerbee of Georgia, two guys I like and I think can play (at least at the college level) and could hopefully be an upgrade as far as linebackers go (which may not be saying a lot).

Any other late rounders anyone can think about I wouldn't mind hearing about, Tackles, Receivers, maybe a solid late round RB.  I appreciate it fellas, and I'll just sit back and be interested in what you guys have to say.
