The Genius, Bill Polian marked the Offensive Line as the reason the Colts failed at winning the Super Bowl and then released Ryan Lilja as the scapegoat. The Kansas City Chiefs picked up Lilja and he now anchors the top rushing attack in the league.

Stampede Blue To Avoid the "Curse"

If the Colts want to avoid "the curse" seems they need to get off to a fast start, which means beating Houston this weekend.  The Colts can't afford to lose three of their first six (Houston, NYG, and ?) and go into the bye week 3-3, and then come out of the bye week having to face Philadelphia, Cincinnati, New England, San Diego, Dallas and Tennessee in their next six.  The troubling part of all of this is the uncertainties regarding the Offensive Line.  Bill Polian scaped-goated the Offensive Line at the end of the season, but as the campaign begins, there are more questions about the Offensive Line now than when we closed the season.  On paper, every other aspect of this team looks better than a year ago, but huge questions surround this group.  Will they protect Peyton?  Will we be able to get a running game going?  The ability to start fast and avoid "the curse" is dependent on this group getting their act together in a hurry.  Peyton can do a lot, but he can only do what the Offensive Line will enable him to do.
