A fan's letter to Vin Scully

Three years ago on the 4th of July, I did something I'd never done before: I wrote a fan letter. As rumors of Vin Scully's impending retirement were circulating at that time, and as I wanted Vinny to know how much he'd meant to me through the years, I put pen on paper and mailed him the following letter:

2nd Half Schedule: Facts & Figures

With the Dodgers, Padres and Rockies separated in the standings by a mere two games, the 2nd half schedule may play an increasingly significant role.
I wanted to take a good look at the schedule for all three teams: Which club will play the most home games? Which team will play the most games against sub-.500 opponents? Which team will play the most head-to-head games in their own stadium? Which team will have the most off-days down the stretch?
The answers may surprise you.

Who's the "hottest" Dodger?

Following last night's irritating game, and, as we await the start of the all-important Dodgers-Giants series, I thought some light entertainment was in order.
