Is Harbaugh lying or does he mean what he says?
An opinion:
What does Harbaugh really mean when he heaps compliments on his players, coaches, and the 49er organization? In my opinion he means exactly what he says.
He may be exaggerating but he means it. At the moment he says it he is thinking positive thoughts and at that moment believes and means exactly what he says.
Example: “Crabtree has the best hands I have ever seen.”
But, but, but:
Crabtree has dropped too many passes.
Crabtree has not produced like a guy with the “best hands ever” would.
Crabtree has (insert complaint)
I believe Harbaugh is probably thinking about the catches that he has seen Crabtree make in games, or practice, or (film or ?). In his mind Crabtree’s hands are the best, and it is Harbaugh’s job to improve his focus, or concentration, or route running, or technique in getting separation, or (something else).
I do not believe (as one commenter stated) Harbaugh is lying, or blowing smoke, or being disingenuous in any way.
He is just being Jim Harbaugh.
How many can remember this?
Jim Mora's rant that the "Saints are not good enough to beat the niners. Bring those days back, Jim Harbaugh!
Most have probably seen this, and those who haven't need to. It should everyone get ready for niners 2010.

A "Modest Proposal"
How to pay an NFL team in a way that is fair to everyone and still manages to give more to those who are the MAIN guys.
The NFL players union is anything but what the name implies. "Union," if the word means anything at all, implies equitable treatment to all members. This is very hard to see in the NFL. How many unions do not have a set pay scale agreement with management? Answer: professional sports and maybe a few others in the entertainment industry. Players and their agents are free to wheel and deal regardless of how it affects their fellow union members. The prevalent attitude fostered by agents, is "millions for me and minimum for you?" Where is the brotherhood? Where is the, "We’re looking out for each other" attitude? Where is good old fashion fairness?
There has to be a better way!
