"The irony of a TCU-BYU matchup in the season following BYU's exit from the Mountain West is that TCU coach Gary Patterson flatly said, "No," when asked if he'd consider playing BYU after news leaked of the school's plot to exit the MWC for independence.
"If you're BYU, you better be careful what you wish for," Patterson said in August.
That was four months before TCU announced its own move out of the conference and to the Big East Conference beginning in 2012."

Just having logged onto OBNUG for the first time since Black Friday, due to the fact that in Reno's hotels even thinking the word "internet" costs money, I was surprised by a meme that was running through most threads, that of the classless Wolfpack fan. Was it really as bad as all that? I just wanted to give my take on the Biggest Little City in the World, and I'll do so after the jump.

I usually see posts about OBNUG tailgates, even for away games, but with Thankgiving almost upon us I haven't seen any word of a gathering in Reno......will I find the Nuggie banner waving proudly down there? This is my first away game and first game since last year's pasting of San Jose, as well as my wife's first Bronco game ever, and I would like to finally meet the group in the "real" world, so my wife can see why I spend so much time in the corner on the computer laughing to myself and so I can get pumped up before the game with some fellow Broncos.
WAC now bigger, not better.....
