Battle for starting SS and roster spot?
With Gerald Sensabaugh expected to miss 3 to 4 weeks with a subluxation in his left shoulder who takes over the starting safety spot? Before preseason, Michael Hamlin would probably be the guy most of us would choose to be back there, but his name hasn't popped up in a big way during training camp. The only time I heard his name mentioned was after he had his concussion/neck strain last game. Barry Church and Danny McCray by reports have been solid in practices and done a fine job on games as well. McCray looking like a special teams ace. But do you trust the SS gig to a rookie? Is Michael Hamlin any less of a rookie than these guys? Will this also serve as criteria for which one of these guys gets cut?

Wasn't Tiffin supposed to be good?
If a team takes Suisham over him, I guess not.
Holmes to Jets for a 5th and a bag of chips
The Pittsburgh Steelers just traded Santonio Holmes to the Jets for a 5th round pick. Clearly, Santonio has quite a lot of baggage and will probably get suspended for a couple of games in the upcoming season, but getting him for a 5th round pick is a downright steal.
The New York Jets are going all in. Anyone remember that mistery team that was trying to work a deal with the Raiders for the 8th pick? Now it just looks more obvious to me that they are probably it.
I know this is a Cowboys blog, but it seemed like an interesting thing to put out there. And please bear with my first fanpost visually, because I don't actually know what I'm doing.
