Alabama's Dareus Moving to Head of the Class

A perfect fit for Alabama’s scheme, Dareus can play inside or outside. He’s stout against the run and rushes the passer equally well, particularly when the Crimson Tide go to their "Rabbit" package on obvious passing downs.

"He’s improved dramatically from last year," Alabama coach Nick Saban said. "We saw a lot of ability from him last year. But sometimes, when guys aren’t sure what they’re doing and they don’t have a lot of confidence, it affects how fast they play in the game."

Caught this in an article on ESPN.com and thought it may be worth mentioning.

Coming into this season, Alabama opponents had scored a touchdown on twenty straight goal-to-go series... which was apparently the longest streak in college football at the time.

So far this season? Opponents have had three 1st-and-goal opportunities against Alabama and have only one field goal to show for it.

If you're curious... Georgia's offense has been in a goal-to-go situation twelve times this season and scored a touchdown on nine of those twelve occasions.

College Gameday is in Athens next week

ESPN now shows Alabama vs. Georgia on their schedule for the college football primetime game on Saturday night, next week.

I'm assuming that puts College Gameday in Athens, is that right? Granted, I'm sure a loss by either team could change up the schedule for next week, but it seems like a lock if 'bama and Georgia walk away with wins today.

Any thoughts on Alabama being featured on College Gameday (if that's the case) for a second week this early in the season?
