Resident of Germany. Got hooked on NBA Basketball watching the legendary 1984 finals, where I happened to be in the U.S. after finishing school. Rooted for the Lakers (Magic Johnson!) but that changed when Dirk went to U.S.
Always wondered way most U.S. sports fans pretend to like team sport when all they want to watch is stars and hero moments. Mavs fans are different - and the Mavs really are a team where the sum is greater than the parts...
