There's only one thing I love more than Boise State Football, and that's my family.  As such, Mr. Crissie and I will be spending Saturday morning at Corban's basketball tournament and are unable to procure the regular tailgating spot.

I know there were a couple of people at the last tailgate who were willing to show up early and get the tailgate organized, so if that's still a possibility, please holler and we'll do whatever we can to help!  Getting "THE" spot usually requires Scott to be down at Bronco Stadium at about 6:30am and of course all of our tailgating equipment is fair game if someone is willing to get down there, snag the spot and get set up.

If we can't get this organized, Scott and I will be back in action for the following game - Senior Day.

Come one, come all!  Sign up to attend, contribute an item, enjoy a great day at Bronco Stadium and meet all of your favorite Nuggies and a couple of lurkers (ahem - Mr. Crissie).  Don't have tickets to the game?  Not a problem!  We'll leave the lights on for you!  TV and satellite are on for the game and it's a great atmosphere.

When:  Saturday, October 22nd.  Kick off is at 1:30pm, which means stadium gates should open at noon.  We'll be set up by 10:00 and closing down shop at noon.  Bringing food?  Please plan to be there at 10am.

Who:  Any and all Nuggies - PLEASE just RSVP in the comments so that we know how much food to purchase and PLEASE sign up to bring something so that we aren't buying it all.  "Just stopping by" is awesome, but there's nothing to stop by for without participation from those who enjoy it.  We had three Nuggies sign up to bring something vs. Nevada.  We ended up being ok because we had some folks show up with food I wasn't planning on, but it worries me all week.  Albertsons is right down the street.  Out of towners are exempt.

Pretty unanimously everyone loves the OBNUG tailgates and it's time to find a couple of diehards to help us kick the tailgate experience up a notch.  Don't get me wrong - the tailgate is awesome, laid back and fun and needs no upgrade as far as the overall experience, however, driving 2 trucks down to the stadium to carry all of the tailgate paraphernalia is a bit of a bummer when you're also transporting 5 kids.

According to ESPN's Heisman Preview Show and one of the idiots giving commentary....

TITUS YOUNG AND AUSTIN PETTIS WILL BE COMING BACK NEXT YEAR, making for a "loaded Boise team".  Do you think they even bother to do any research on the Heisman Trophy Finalists or do they just pull this stuff out of their bws?

In other news, ESPN is really not on the ball.  What an embarrassment.  First Heisman finalist and they still relegate him to the kids table.

It was NCAA11 and a couple of very eager boys that brought me to really get to know Jason Robinson just before midnight on August 11th in the electronics section of WalMart.

Having to be out at midnight with my kids, standing in WalMart waiting for a video game was only tempered by knowing from Twitter that Jeron Johnson and Jamar Taylor were going to be stopping by to pick up a copy as well.  It was there, while we were waiting for midnight that I first saw JRob.

WHAT: OBNUG Tailgate vs. Hawaii

WHERE: East side of the stadium, under the Pettis banner. *Subject to change if spot isn't available.

WHEN: Saturday November 6th, 2010; 10:00am - Noon when the stadium opens.

By now you know how this works.  Sign up in the comments to bring something from my wishlist (or just insert what you will be bringing).  RSVP for the number of peeps that you'll be bringing so that I can buy the main dish accordingly.  Put a couple of dollars into the helmet at the tailgate for the main dish and all is well!

We've been having the greatest time at these tailgates, so I want to reiterate that all are welcome.  We have new NUGgies showing up each week so I don't want to give the impression that we're cliquish.  Except for Munson.  He's pretty elitist.  (In truth, Munson is exactly the opposite.  Munson is very warm and gregarious.)  Just let me know that you're coming so that I can buy appropriately.  My control issues demand that I have plenty of food for everyone in order for me not to obsess.  Is there a therapist in the house?

It's a mid week game my NUGgies, which throws me for a bit of a loop planning-wise.  It's even more important to let me know if you're coming so that I can plan appropriately.  I always plan for a few extra on Saturday games, but I'm not going to do that for a Tuesday night game.

*****Updated parking and line info:

Parking lot will be closed to all except BAA members.  For GameDay, parking will be in the Lincoln Garage and the Admin lot.  A little sketchy on the particulars.  Lots will be staffed at 3am but Scott thinks they told him they won't open the lots until 5am.

Fans are allowed to start lining up for GameDay at 5am.  Admittedly, they aren't sure if they'll be able to enforce this.

Way to hold down the fort while we were out repping Bronco Nation on the road.  Bringing College Game Day?  Nice work.

I've missed you all so much.  Watching Boise State games without being able to reliably login to OBNUG was pretty harsh.  I thrive on the routine of a game week.

Tailgating started with a bang and will definitely continue for this week's home opener.  Just give me a day or two to unpack and do some laundry and I'll get right on it.
