I am a filmmaker and just finished a film about the fan rivalry during the Crosstown Classic of 2008. Bellow is a description of this film.

A Crosstown Classic Story is an unscripted portrayal of impassioned baseball enthusiasts in Chicago, a city notorious for its one-boss rule where loyalty means everything.
During the six-game series in 2008, Cubs and White Sox fans caught on video weld their nastiest words, fists, libations and cleavage in the struggle to legitimize their team's right to claim ownership of the Windy City.
It's an ongoing rivalry that's reached epic proportions: One town, two teams.
It's a war, really.
And as everyone knows in love and war--off the playing field and on the battlefield, in trains, parking lots and streets outside Cellular and Wrigley fields--there are no rules.
