Greg McElroy aces 27-26-60 after Wonderlic leaks, is he the future?

Some of you may remember the posts here about the 27-26-60 method for drafting a QB. For whatever reason I cannot find that particular post so I'll explain myself. Here is the gist of it: If an...

Getting to know Jay (videos)

Note: The first half is about Jay Gruden the Human Being, if you just want to see the coach, football talk starts around 3 minutes in. It's a blast playing for coach Gruden. He's a great coach....

MB not trading Palmer will hurt the franchise for years.

I don't need to remind anyone of 2008. Chad Johnson wanted out of Cincinnati and the Redskins were willing to give up two first round draft picks for him. Mike Brown, who runs his franchise like a...

Speculation: Chad to reunite with Hue Jackson in Oakland?

"I would not care where Hue Jackson got a job. I would go play for him, run through a wall, jump in front of a bus, etc. u get the point." "Man that was the greatest coach I ever had. Hue Jackson would choke me out, cuss me out, just to make sure I was precise on everything. "It would be refreshing to be with Hue Jackson again. I know I wouldn’t have to worry about being thrown under a bus again."

Fairley will play anywhere, as long as it isn't cold.

Let me preface this by saying I know this should be a Fanshot, but Fanposts seem to draw more conversation. The article is here. The video is here. Basically, Fairley makes an offhand comment about...

Is Randall Cobb an option for the Bengals?

Randall Cobb announced this week that he will enter the 2011 draft. He is an exciting player who can do pretty much everything on offense. Kind of a local boy playing at UK, I'm sure you've all...

Bengals helped the Seahawks beat the Saints with game film

The Bengals made their contribution not via a personnel blunder, but through the game film created when Cincy gave the Saints a tough fight during the regular season. Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck tells Peter King of Sports Illustrated that the Seahawks designed a play for the game based on a play that the Bengals used effectively against the Saints. It’s a simple concept. The tight end throws a block on a passing play, lingers on the ground, and then gets up and finds himself wide open. "We just did a good job of scheming them, and that play’s a perfect example," Hasselbeck told King. "It’s the kind of play where you’ve got two or three guys throwing cut blocks, and you sell run, and it looks terrible, but if you run it right, the tight end ought to be able to get free."

Suggs fined for punching Simpson

Suggs was fined $15,000 for hitting Jerome Simpson in the week 17 game. The punch went unnoticed by the refs and was not flagged. Suggs admitted to getting away with one after the game. He got off easy though, he was fined only $15,000 despite the NFL fining Richard Seymour, Andre Johnson and Cortland Finnegan $25,000 for their anger problems.

Johnathan Joseph does not mind the franchise tag

"I’d sign it the first day," Joseph said laughing, according to Bengals.com’s Geoff Hobson. "Hopefully we can get a deal done before then."

Know who else is 2-2?

The Colts. And the Saints should be as well if it weren't for some last second heroics. I hear all this talk about how the season is doomed because we are not going to be 4-1 heading into the bye....

Ravens cut Troy Smith

Anyone else think he'd be an excellent #2 behind Carson, despite being a totally different kind of QB? Or am I just being a homer..
